it's because the character uses state 5600 which is what ikemen uses for tag. you'd have to edit their current 5600 to use something else

vselect is built for mugen, not ikemen. you can't use it.

I'm using the most recent version of Gacel's fork
What causes some tag characters to fall from the ceiling and fail to tag in?
Is it a certain state?

its state 5600 that the tag code uses so if the character is already using it, you'll get that issue

it says "tage.portrait.scale = 1,1" in every instance there

first post updated with a version that has no overlay

updated again. fixed a typo in the no overlay version that would cause it to crash mugen

thanks, you can take the overlay out in the def file if you dislike it, i can add a second .def without it if anything. the sound was not intentional i think my pc volume was turned down low & i didn’t realize it. thanks for pointing that out
