I don't think Pool of the Dead and HoneyBadger is bad at all.

I don't like it though. And it's really just Ryan Reynolds being aggressively unfunny to me that makes me not enjoy it as much as I want to. I did not laugh at a single one of his bits.

If it weren't for him I'd probably think its a good time because everything else about the movie (aside from the action, that's just a big downgrade compared to the first two movies.) is pretty great.

Decided to throw my hat into the game.




Drew completely from the ground up, didn't draw over anyone and just eyeballed references from various Male characters. I decided to give him a more pronounced Jaw as to differentiate him from Captain America and other similar face types.

I actually even went the extra mile and followed Capcom's process: drew this in person first using Japanese Copic Markers and then scanned it in from the physical source to adjust into pixel art form like Capcom did in the 90's.



I'll probably do more characters. I plan to at the very least draw the assist characters from Mvc1 in this format since all the existing ones are kind of ugly and/or rely on bases too much.

and plus. once you start selling guest characters, you basically have to keep doing that for good.

but the real worry for me is that according to a few reliable sources, this 2 guest, 2 returnee thing is going to be how it is for future seasons and that's super worrying.


it reduces the chances of returnees to being only guaranteed money makers. no wild cards. doesnt help that its only 2 characters a year.

seriously hope that either A: the guest characters chosen in future seasons are literal dream-come-true material or they just don't do guest characters.

Ikemen has a native pause button that you can remap anywhere and has command lists.


Mugen doesn't.

Look, semantics aside, the point was that Interplay has everything to lose if people start playing fan stuff more than buying whatever re-releases of their ip they have because they literally do not have anything else other than licensing out their stuff.

They were never going to work with Basara, did not even bother to research what projects he ACTUALLY was apart of, was never going to make him a third party partner and him even being able to get as far as he did was alot considering how fast they took down previous fan stuff. That's it

No, it would not have changed a single thing.


Interplay is not interested in working with anyone else for a full game. There was no chance of Basara being a third party developer working with them.


Contacting them first doesnt matter as they clearly showed in the email they were not even interested in doing proper research about what Basara is and is not associated with.


They have the legal right to enforce their protection upon their IP as it is literally how you KEEP the IP in the first place. Not doing so risks losing access to said IP and Interplay does not want that as it is the only thing keeping them afloat.

I do appreciate all the work you have done for the scene. I do appreciate how much you have put into improving both engines, the amount of quality work you have done for the scene and for other games you have been involved with.


You are incredibly influential and are a big pillar in the communities you are deeply tied to.


But I cannot in say you are doing the "right thing" saying that those who use MUGEN without official licenses in characters are losing their souls because you likely feel guilt towards the fact that you may have been told the same thing because you made Touhou content without an official license, even though it was always a next to 0 percent chance of obtaining one.

Doing so is extremely irresponsible for the ones who genuinely follow you and your work you have done and look up to you to push past themselves in their coding limits. You cannot just turn around and say all that after so much growth in the communities you are involved with just because you are scared to continue due to whatever moral battle you are having with yourself.

Religious beliefs aside, you have demonstrated that you are willing to manipulate narrative events from your own accounts in order to run away before as you did with the fake Cease and Desist letter from all the years ago.
Condemning the communities you are apart of because you feel your own self guilt is cowardly and frankly goes *against* alot of Catholic beliefs you have and saying everything bad that happened is due to the fact that you are doing everything "illegally" and those who believe in you should follow suit is a slap in the face to all the people you have worked with and became friends with.

All this aside, I wish you best for your future and hope you can manage whatever it is that is happening in your head.

Honestly, I really prefer your original, older style. It has its own signature on it and it helps knowing that you *actually* drew it.


The Ai art is a neat thing but it also loses the identity of it being *your* artwork since the models are trained to have an abstract, general, vanilla view of the art you train it on.

For example, the lineart is really good and I like how the face looked beforehand on it. The ai art just kinda robbed it of its personality imho.
