It looks really good. I would just get rid of the black outline. Z2 style doesn't have that.

Looks really good. The only few things I can comment on are the viewer's bottom left of his gi looks a little too baggy and the neck of it drops too low. Z2 also has much more sharply defined muscles.

Yea... I hated Super, but Black was one of the best parts about it. Not the arc in general, but just the character Black. I was genuinely intrigued to find out who he was. The show was garbo, though.

Doesn't really work when paired with Goku. Broly having a smaller head than him is silly. The proportional head looks a lot better, imo.

Jiren doesn't have that definition in the show though.



You can find shots of any character in Dragon Ball with lacking or highly defined muscles. The point is that the Z2 style, for the most part, has very sharply defined muscles.

The baby Jiren in that DA is account is adorable, we need to see it used somehow. Excited to see some Super content.

I don't really see the softness thing, but I feel like the impact on his hits looked low. It might just be from how early the character is though.

No? Look at the muscle definition on Vegeta and Freeza's legs, compared to Jiren. It's easiest to see there, but it's present throughout most of the sprite.

Edit: Just poked around with adding some extra muscle.

Neat reveal. I wonder who's spriting Jiren. He does look a bit soft, compared to the rest of the cast. I don't see those really defined muscle lines that other characters have.

The bulge is a little much, but that's all subjective. If ya like big packages, who'm I to judge? I tend to exaggerate breasts, myself :p.

Honestly feel like too many clones is a bad thing. Feels cheap in a game with so much integrity. Would be better as just an alternate costume, similar to Gohan's, IMO.

That said, I'll see if I'm not too rusty to contribute.

I think Chiaotzu needs the bigger eyes. Both to match the source and Z2 style. I like both positions of the smile. The one off to his right side gives him a "devilish smile" and the one in the center is a better regular spot.

I mean, there's no other character, to my knowledge, with eyes in the same style of Chiaotzu. The closest I've seen is Goten, and his pupils and eyes are still smaller than Chiaotzu's are now, so I dunno how having them bigger matches the Z2 style.

His head just looks elongated to me, with the bigger eyes. The smile was just a matter of centering. Just my two cents, anyway.

...on another note, that Chiaotzu kicking sprite is just the best thing.

Oh, I see. Both sets of arms are coming out of the same sleeve. Somehow, to me, it looked like new sleeves formed around the second set of arms. Don't know how I missed that. Must've been the pot.

Looks f*ckin' bad ass.
My only thoughts are, perhaps you could make the sleeves around his new arms frayed, so they look like they ripped through his shirt. Also, Chiaotzu looks slightly off, to me. Did a small tweak, for what it's worth. Just shortened his head and eyes slightly and moved his mouth forward a little.

I poked around with your SF3 render proportions. The head, the breasts and the hands, mostly. It still needs a ton of work to be hit the SF3 style, but the proportions should be a little more accurate.

Some of the Z2 sprites I created. Any recommendations for improvement?

They look good. My one observation is you need to go thicker on your lightest anti-aliasing shade. The more recent Z2 characters show that technique. Other than that, I'd say Gohan's chest my look a little lopsided.
