That's why you can scale their sprites in the CNS section. They're technically not supposed to be 1,1 display.

As a CvS2 creator this brings me nothing of joy. CvS2 isnt as popular as it used to be here on MFG, I'm talking about the Drex-SophieX-Raisu-JZ-Warusaki era where it was CvS2 galore!! This brings me much joy to see again.

Is this screenpack usable for square resolution?

Sorry for bumping. I dont know much about the system stuff going on since I'm not a POTS creator nor fighter, but I will say that Karma C has the best POTS Haohmaru around. In my opinion, way better than "the others." Why? Because KC actually datamines the shit out of the source game and so we dont have shit like normals --> chain combo --> specials --> super combo cancel. Overall, Jmorphman and KC have some of the best stuff out there. My personal favorites are OG POTS, Jman, KC, and DW.

The good thing about this Haohmaru is the fact that he is not a spaghetti GGXX knockoff like the other ones I have seen. Like seriously, Haohmaru is supposed to be a zoner, somewhat a turtle character, he aint supposed to be doing chain combos into specials and then super combo cancel altogether. This is why I like KC's because he knows that basic fighting game fundamental is that if you commit to a chain combo it doesnt EVER link into specials. (Hell even Morrigan from CvS2 doesn't even chain combo into specials)

Yeah, I bought Yatagarsu off steam and played it a bit. Although I didn't play it enough. The game is a great game, needs a sequel.

Zero what? This is a screenpack not a full game. Neither is it a compilation. You can add Zero yourself.

This screenpack looks very good! Although I'm used to seeing more bright colors like CvS1/CvS2, this one is good too, almost like a winter season skin. I like your work, and Rednavi would be proud to know you were inspired off him.

I think I will be using this. If you are considering doing a "Classic CvS2" reskinned theme for this exact same screenpack, it would be pretty good. What I mean by reskin is not changing the core of this screenpack, but just changing some colors and the background to something more like the classic CvS2 would look like. Does this screenpack use custom character select screen portraits?

Yeah, I understand how that can be time consuming. Although I would say it's worth the time to look into.

From what I can tell, his hitboxes are not too biased to register the attacks. Despite of the collusion boxes may be opposite in some cases.

Yeah, I think it's fine for the RED CLSN1 data to remain the way it currently is, and just leave it alone. However, I'll be honest, the BLUE CLSN2 are the ones that are.... pretty bad, to be quite honest. They're so bad that you cannot punish, sweep, air combo, throw, or anything that has basic fundamentals, is thrown out the window... unless.... your opponent is using the exact same Anime char with similar hitboxes, then it's no problem. However everyone else in the MUGEN roster out there is basically f**ked.

Ya I know they're not meant to strictly follow BBTag, all I'm saying is the idle stance/gethits/basic CLSN2 hurtboxes are so skinny, that you cannot even punish or hit the character. At the very least, the source game has a bigger CLSN2 hurtbox so can at least sweep them in proper range.

Are you sure? I found these screenshots (which I dont remember how) but the hitbox data seems like she's more punishable (CLSN2 hurt box) than what you have currently.

Though I have seen you say you're not shooting for accuracy, so I don't know what to say. But, I'll share the screenshots anyway.

Cool, thanks for the update. I see big red hitboxes everywhere in your chars. Do you plan to make blue hitboxes accommodate them so they're at least punishable? I can provide some examples of how it can be done. At the very least, they should be able to trade hits.

It appears that the CLSN2 hurtboxes are really really really thin, but the attacking CLSN1 hitboxes are really really really big. So it makes it really difficult to even hit them to begin with, also running at the huge risk of eating h0o0o0ge combos in return. Simply put, many of your guys have godlike attack boxes and godlike "evasive" hurtboxes, which makes them really good at attacking, and naturally really good at dodging too, without leaving much of that to the player's own dictation to control their own defense.

Secondly, I think the grab priority range is may be a bit too far.... and I mean like, SUPER far you can get grabbed. Doesn't even look like you're in range but you grab them anyway.

That's all I could say for now. Other than that, cool stuff!

I just got a chance to download version Indigo this morning and after comparing, it seems like there was some reworking on the hitboxes. Prior, I was looking at Champ and an older Z2 version.

There are some hitboxes in Indigo where I could still see improvement, like some of the basics and air attacks, but so far they look better in Indigo than previous versions. (Even Champ)

Hi, I'm not really a Z2 player but I have fought opponents online using something else. First I'd like to compliment the hard work and lore put into these characters. They're very well fleshed out and lots of story juice packed into it. The intros, win poses, and stuff are very creative. Facebook posts in the cars? Simply genius. It's awesome.

Secondly, I'd like to move onto the hitboxes. The hitboxes are mostly pretty good, and at this point I've studied thousands of different hitboxes, I can very well say that HDBZ's hitbox sort of resembles something like Street Fighter in some instances. They're pretty well made too, and I've only noticed a few small flaws.

edit: My bad. I just double checked and there ARE normals with an extra frame/AnimElem that has punishable properties. You know, when the Blue CLSN2 is still residual for 1-2 frames after the previous frame with the red hitbox. Yes, HDBZ does have it. But another thing I noticed is the hitboxes could use some improvements, in some situations it's still almost impossible to whiff punish. It's the positioning/design of some of the hitboxes.

So my only question is, was the hitbox design of HDBZ intended to be this way? If it was then just ignore everything I said.

I would listen to Vans and walt. These guys are pretty OG and know certain etiquette about from an era and in many ways hasn't aged at all. Also, ignore Speed he's kind of an asshole anyway.

How do I make a palette? I've never made a palette before using the method everyone is doing here. I usually just edit in fighter factory you know, with the whole SFF and everything intact. I'm asking so I can make some palettes for this Ash.

may I ask where you got the Ash spritesheet? I never saw the release. Was it private release? Cuz I made a CvS2 Ash like 10 years ago, and I would love to update him sometime too! Lol

Kyo is literally my main char in CvS2. I've been using him to clutch many epic fights, beating A-groove fighters and top tier C-Sagat guys. I am literally surprised that Ash and Kyo share velocities. That's very interesting. In what ways? Anyways, looking forward to this release!
