and there go the best Stages of the 32-bit era. I never really played Weaponlord at the time, but I like the character designs and all the stages.
16-bit. Genesis and SNes. :)

Congrats on the release of these; they didn't have any interactive functions in the original source, right?

Respeto muchísimo todo el trabajo que se toma Mike en hacer su arte; personalmente no me gusta, eso sí. Ni ese tipo de modelado 3D, ni las proporciones.

Sí creo vale aclarar; si vamos a cuestionar la hegemonía de los rasgos faciales, cabría seguramente cuestionar también la de los cuerpos. Si el parámetro es alejarse de Hollywood y lo estándar, me parece un poco raro que todas tengan tetas de vedette y cuerpo de modelo.

Por otro lado, tantos clones realmente hacen que el diseño parezca hecho con mucha pereza.

It's never going to, unless you download an already modified and Tag-compatible compilation.

Tag was not supported by MUGEN and though officially supported by IKEMEN Go, many characters are not built with it in mind.

si no mal recuerdo el Winmugen y DOS mugen eran compatibles, solo que te vayas a las primeras versiones y eso creo que solo fue el salto de una de las demás, hacer downgrades? quizás por recursos  :mlol:
De hecho, recuerdas mal. Eran incompatibles, al punto de que el formato de SFF era distinto. Elecbyte rompió todo un buen par de veces.

Acabo de probar el Ikemen Go (porque me corre mejor en Linux que el MUGEN con Wine) y veo que está genial...
Pero lastimosamente todavía tiene algunos bugs, algunos sonidos de mis personajes a veces suenan y a veces no suenan.
Algunos bugs de compatibilidad (parámetros en el código que MUGEN 1.0 me acepta sin problemas ni errores ni warnings)  pero Ikemen Go manda error y no quiere ni cargar el personaje. En fin, lo más genial es que sea Open Source, eso significa que va a ser posible corregir todo eso y agregar todo lo que desde hace años le pedíamos a Elecbyte y nunca pudieron hacer realidad!
Muy raro que esté andando tan mal. Tenés la última versión? Quizás sea porque estás bajo WINE? Pasa un enlace a esos personajes en el Discord, y vemos cómo hacer.

Eh.... No. Escenarios interactivos; animados hay desde hace un montón de tiempo, interactivos implica que los personajes puedan afectar al escenario.

ME INTERESA, CONTINÚA; como, cuando, que es eso, y como funciona.
Con gusto lesplico.

El motor IKEMEN Go ha habilitado tecnología nueva para hacer que haya escenarios universales verdaderamente interactivos, insertándoles un personaje que no responde al equipo del P1 ni al equipo del P2. Eso permite poner helpers, explods, etc. controlados desde el escenario. Entonces podemos hacer desde pinches y fuego, hasta público que reacciona en tiempo real a lo que pasa en la pelea, splashes de agua configurables, y desde truenos sincronizados con efectos de sonido que no se vean afectados por Superpauses, hasta fatalities de escenarios.

Todo esto sin tocar el código de los personajes y sin bugs ni abarcando el common ni nada raro. Plug and play.

Y... Básicamente me volví loco e hice todo eso durante este año. Mi canal de YT está lleno de las cosas que hice.

Acá, por ejemplo, un video con todos los escenarios con interactivos rompibles de Double Dragon Neo Geo.


Ahora estamos por lanzar algo copado con Foobs:

Y en mi firma, hay algo un poco menos convencional, y 100% imposible de hacer con MUGEN normal.

Hehe, thanks! Slammasters 2 didn't have Z axis, did it?

Z Axis is something that's been thought of for about... 15 years? Kind of a pain in the butt to implement fully, I guess. Also, maybe because OpenBoR is a thing people haven't focused that much into it.

Then again, if someone was to develop a Z Axis code... It should be easy enough to add it as a *stage* feature.

- You can bounce off from the ropes of the stage.
- You can trigger a special ko using special/super grabs.
- The crowd will react to the fight.
Also the floor reacts to the fight, too. We added so much stuff into this that we sometimes forget some of it lol.

This is great. :)  I think calling it a stage is almost underestimating it because it changes the way Ikemen itself is played.

Some things from a little bit of testing:

- I'm using Ikemen Go 0.98 and had to remove some palfx code from line 589 of the attached char for it to work. Is a new version out?
- If the last hits before a dizzy are a jab combo, the infinite prevention NotHitBy will be active during the dizzy
- Back dashes that don't hop off the ground (like Ryu's) don't work properly against the ropes
- Could use a "boing" sound for the ropes
- I think the infinite prevention code should reset immediately if p2movetype!=H because sometimes it lingers a bit too long and your attacks miss even outside a combo. For that matter what's the rule there? I can sometimes get 3 hits before they miss, sometimes 4 or 5. Time? Damage?

Hey there! Here's the coder behind the interactives. :)

-IKEMEN Go 0.98.2 included the option of having PalFX applied to explods, please update yer engine version.
-Ooooh, I utterly forgot about Dizzy. NotHitBy should not trigger under that case. Noted and corrected.
-Rechecked triggers for backdashes. Effect wasn't triggering before because Ryu had a StateType = A and a Pos Y = 0, and I was checking for a Pos Y > 0 for the hop, or for a StateType = S for a "ground bounce". Dropped the Pos Y = 0 condition altogether. Still looks bad on your Ryu, but at least it has *some* effect and didn't break every other char I retested.
-Sounds will be added, probably with a toggle. Because they get tedious very very quickly. Cartoony boing sounds don't entirely fit, either. Looking for something mid-ground maybe.
-Right now the NotHitBy code triggers when someone has been bounced *two* times against the ropes while on the ground or *once* if in the air; that's the criteria. I actually used MoveType != H for this... With a Time of 30 for the NotHitBy, which is a bit too much. Reduced it to 2, more than enough to give people time to block.

Viniendo de alguien que creaba/jugaba Mugen hace como 7 años... los Goukis, personajes de DBZ, todo lo que hace PotS, y demás siguen siendo la moda? Ando empapándome poco a poco de actualizaciones. También olvidé el acceso a mi cuenta original, pero eso era de esperarse.

Fooooh! Han pasado varias cosas. Yo me volví loco con el motor nuevo y los escenarios interactivos, hice más de 100 y aprendí a programar mucho con IKEMEN Go.

I'm sorry, I don't know the first thing about animations, but that kind of pose (both legs back, his back twisted like that) is vulnerable as hell. Any martial artist would throw a leg in front and one backwards, as the force you are facing is not sideways but frontal, and your stance is much stronger what way.

This still looks really really good.

I was looking for emulator stuff about 21 years ago and I ran into MUGEN.
