And it wasn't even a leak to begin with, just some random guy's crappy wishlist.

Not that I complain about this release, but I would want a 3D Collection instead (the two SS64 titles, Warriors Rage and Edge of Destiny in one pack)

However, good move about SSV Perfect, I want to see more of that

Warriors Rage and Edge of Destiny are bloody awful games, so I don't see much of a point in including them other than for curiosity's sake. The two 64 games, however, have never been ported to any system and are still unemulated, so I wish SNK is able to port them in some form.

7 SamSho games in one package?

SOLD!

...although I do wish they would of added in VI to make it feel truly complete, but that wasn't on the Neo Geo to begin with...

I wish they added the 64 games but I'm not complaining.

Yes, these are all fanart.

People have been starving so much for news lately that they're believing every fake leak that shows up. A Brazilian fanpage even managed to fool people into believing they were official and spread quite some fake news before being unmasked.

Well... I like how the site looks. But his opinion on things are just that: HIS opinion, and let's face it... sometimes he can be wrong. Sometimes he can be right..

Take that Fighters History review, for example. It IS a near perfect rip-off of Street Fighter II, right down to the point where Capcom sued Data East... but where I think he fails in these reviews is that he doesn't look deeper then the surface level for some of these games.

The problem is that the guy is prejudiced, and it shows. That "review" is basically "hurr durr its a SF2 ripoff so it sucks". Like, pretty much every fighting game of the time was a SF2 ripoff, and that alone shouldn't really be used to measure the game's quality.

For starters, don't try to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes less is more. Think it simple. For example, pick a basic gameplay style you like (a CvS groove for example) and go from there, change a thing or two and see what works and what doesn't.

The same goes for the roster. Start with a base roster of 10 characters, and if everything goes as planned you can add more down the line. If I were to suggest I'd go with three characters from Street Fighter and two from Darkstalkers, leaving five characters from any other franchises you'd want to add.

I can't say for residents in Japan for Dragon Quest, but I recall people were legit naming children Tifa and Sephiroth after FFVII during its time in the limelight just as people were with Harry Potter and Game of Thrones character names.  I likewise don't know the money brought in from a local base, as big as Japan still is, compared to one of the biggest RPG series on the globe, maybe it is that ingrained into people there to buy every copy of anything ever DQ related to reasonably match or something.

But just from global reception Dragon Quest is a blip on the map compared to Final Fantasy's recognition to the genre and video game progression as a whole.  By this point I don't think you're allowed to not know who Cloud Strife is, compared to...heck, the only named DQ characters I know are Dai and Erdrick.  Which is cool and all they made it into Smash (Shame it was just the male version, remember my second playthrough of DQ3 gender swapping the cast better than my initial playthrough, but still it's something) but doesn't exactly compare.

Yes, in Japan DQ is a massive juggernaut, and it is indeed bigger than Final Fantasy, while in the rest of the world it just doesn't have the same popularity it enjoys in its home country. Its just like you said, its something ingrained in their culture, it is like trying to explain why El Chavo del Ocho is so massively popular in Latin America.

Dragon Quest isn't even close to that, it is niche at best, get your facts right.

Even if its not close to Mario, it is not niche at all. It is a bigger franchise than Final Fantasy, for example. You get your facts right.

On the other side of the coin, there is Dragon Quest Hero, which comes from a much smaller franchise than Mario, but condensed multiple characters into one, though I assume, due to him just being called "Hero" that they are nameless avatars for the player that don't have as much prestige as Link to have their own official names.

Not only is Dragon Quest as big a franchise as Mario (probably bigger), it actually has way more prestige than Zelda. This is something westerners can't really fathom, in Japan the franchise is not only the best selling game franchise of all, its games always come out on fridays so people won't skip work/school to play them. The heroes being nameless avatars or being condensed into a single character have nothing to do with prestige.

According to SNK Brazil

Which is just a Facebook fanpage with no connection with SNK themselves, and who are also just speculating. SNK still hasn't made any official announcement so far.

On other news:

If I were to guess, I think Epic wasn't even supposed to make this announcement in the first place. SNK's offices are closed down due to COVID-19.

Nope, Epic never said it would be exclusive, and SNK themselves never said anything. People are just assuming that based solely on Epic announcing it first (before even SNK themselves).
