Use a cond for determining the helper's pos limit.

 This example in my Doppel Nanase will have the first fire pillar from Maiden Volcannon spawn 60 pixels away from her if he edge of the screen in front of the character is equal or above 60 pixels away and will spawn 0 pixels away if Doppel Nanase is less than 40 pixels within the corner in front of her.

Thanks. Although, I actually went ahead and found a list of triggers, about an hour ago, and have been testing things out for consistency.  Also curious to know what happens at 50 pixels in your example.

My example below always allows sublimation to always go it's full distance, and if the wall is within that distance, that's where it stops.

That makes it more visually consistent with the players position.  It can never be more than 75, but I did still want the position to specifically change depending on how close you were to the wall, even just marginally, and not just a static spot whenever you were in the sweet spot.  That made it look like there was an invisible wall that the projectile couldn't get past too.  But when the player steps back far enough, the projectile could go just a little further.

It still hit, but I just didn't like the presentation of how it looked.
I've changed and adjusted for all versions of the attack too, so against the wall, there's no difference between the LMH versions.  Just like MvC2.

Ruby heart's Sublimation is an attack that sprouts from the ground, and attacks vertically.  In Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, it can't be summoned off the stage boundaries.

I downloaded mugen for the first time in years, and literally have forgotten everything, and frantically looking through various CNS files to jog my memory.  But, if the attack is done, I don't want it to exceed the stage boundaries where it'll miss the opponent completely.

Yeah, I'll try something and see what happens.  But, what about forcing the opponent to face the attacker when hit?

Is there anything I can do to stop cross ups while against a wall, and force the enemy to face the attacker when hit?  Some people find it annoying and I'd like to eliminate it.

I've got a special edit of POTS' Ryu I'm working on, and there's one thing in particular that's bothering me that I'm not sure how to handle.  He has an attack that I do not want him doing (AI) while the enemy has a projectile on the screen, because 90% of the time, it leaves him open to get hit.

I've done some searching, but haven't had any luck.  I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't remember how to do it.

it would be really nice if you could update Ryo by Crazykoopa. cause 1) he surely could use an AI update. and 2nd) - and much more important - when you hit two opponents with his 'Zanretsuken' attack at the same time (in team mode), the game freezes o_O. guess it has nothing to do with updating chars to mugen 1.0 tho.. :gonkgoi:

I've been really busy lately and sick.  But, I'll get back to it soon.  I'm not going to say I'll fix those bugs.  (Not in the mood to even download the character atm).  But, we'll see what I feel like doing once I feel better.

^ The same could be said about MB-02 really, maybe besides the "Missiles from my chest" super. most Spec Ops characters share common effects but, as you said, in an opinion or criticism from your part so is good. Dark Bolt would take the prize for originality from me IMO

To me, MB-02 was just a robo-sagat, so he gets a pass. But, not only that,(the newer version) is missing the scar sagat got from Ryu, and isn't missing an eye from dan's dad.  Granted, those things could be emulated onto the robot itself, but I think it's nicer that it isn't.  My only complaint about MB-02 is that pixel that appears under his toe during his stance animation and how he has a paper-thin-braid in his large display picture.

Talking about Heavy Strike..  Yes, he does look too much like cable.  He's holding his pistol, and has his viper beam.  Removing the hair just looks like Cable with a hair cut, after deciding to grow a goatee.  Had Cable's guns been removed along with his stupid looking suspenders as well as the hair then it would have been fine.  And, maybe a new stance, because MB-02 doesn't have Sagat's stance either.  MB-02 is plenty different enough.

If Dark Bolt were actually Chun-Li, I would like that character more, but from what I remember (last used her in dos mugen back in '06) she's not Chun-Li and is supposed to be someone entirely different.  Her face looks like chun-li and her stance looks like chun-li.  I remember her with lots of projectiles, and teleporting.  Perhaps it impressed me 7 years ago, but maybe I'm desensitized to it.

But, oh well, you're never going to please everyone.

Good GAWD man!! Those Spec Ops characters are a treat and I cannot wait to get my hands on them. You're updating MB-02, right!? Please tell me you are....

meh.  I like MB-02, but the rest of the characters look too much like the characters they're edited from to spark my interest.  Looking at the same shinkuu hadouken beam over and over in different colors just isn't doing anything for me.

Ah well, just some criticism.

Its just personal disliking: Nakoruru, Sentinel and Felicia, I just would never play as them and never would find pleasure in beating shit out of them.

Yes... I hate sentinel too.  So much, but, I had to put him in and give him lots of health like in mvc2.  I still need to do some more edits on him.  His AI is super cheap, and I need to get to that too.

As for Nakoruru and Felicia, they're okay.  I use Felicia sometimes, in MvC2, so I did want to make sure I got her in. I've updated my Roster, a bit, though.



I know its portrait is from someone elses, but that's actually mwryly's POTS edit of Akuma.

I don't see what's so bad about GIMP's remap tool, it's very handy for sprites.  Anyway the link Drex posted is all you need but just in case, I made a post about it a while back, here.

I remember it being more complicated than that for some reason.  Oh well, I guess I'll try both and report which one works best.

Haha, what makes me keep laugh is that you have same character taste only 2 or 3 of those I wouldnt use, the rest I need to add because I forgot them ;)

Thanks to the both of you.  But, yeah, I'm going to have to do something about those marvel characters (I only like four of them, and the rest need serious fixing).  I want to add more, but I need a new screen pack, but I want to make it myself and haven't gotten around to it yet.  Looking at my arrangement, it's pretty obvious that I've been putting it off, lol.

But, I'm curious now... what are those three you wouldn't use?

In the stance it looks like she is stroking the wrench... that's quite um... sexual

When I first saw the character, I thought she was holding something else.  If you care to improve the animations, though, shading and color choices could be improved.  Also, why's her butt so flat?

you are half right i did not do this free hand but i did it by tracing the original stage and smudging the detail so it is not filters but is not freehand art

How am I half right?  Can you half go over the speed limit?  Either you are, or you aren't.  You didn't trace the stage, a program you downloaded traced and smudged the stage.  You did nothing but click a few buttons.  What you did was the exact same thing a filter would have done.  So, you did use a filter.

I'd done this years ago..  So long, in fact, that I do not remember how does it.  I need to remap the palette in gimp 2.3 or whatever versions I have.  If you can provide to me a link to a tutorial, or something or just tell me yourself, that would be helpful. Gimp has so many options, I even forget how to do something as simple as making an animated GIF without reading/watching a tutorial first.

Thanks, I need to do thing before I start placing sprites in Fighter Factory.

If somebody would fix the MB-02 (either) palette issues in 1.0 that would be nice.

I did already (newer version).  O Ilusionista said not to make him public.  Don't worry about it though, just give it some time, you'll get him again. ;)



I felt it was something you wanted to do, but at first I had understood it as "What character would you like to see updated?" without someone actually updating it, like the "most wanted characters for mugen" topic.

This is specifically for characters that do not work in mugen 1.0.  I've said I may update them.  Huge difference. Not asking about characters that already work in 1.0 and are simply hard to find.

Nevermind, I applied the update once before and somehow the files reverted..  Maybe I pressed ctrl+z one too many times the other day.
