So, you're indexing the sprites, right? You need to make sure the transparent color is the first slot in the palette:

I'll use KFM as an example.
Let's say I want to change the motion for state 1000. I'll open his CMD file in Notepad, use ctrl + F to find state 1000, which gives me this:

Notice the "command = "QCF_x", this is the name of the command this move uses. Now I'll press ctrl + F again and search for this exact command, QCF_x, whic gives me this:

This is what I want to change, let's say instead of down > forward > x, I want to use down > back > any punch, I can edit this or create a new command. As an example I'll be creating a new command with another name, say, "qcb_punch", and since I'm going to use all punch buttons I'll make many of these with the same name, you can even specify a time if you want:

And then go back to state 1000 in the CMD and change the command to the new one (you don't need to do this if you edited the command instead):

KO sound playing twice

So I wanted my characters to stop moving as soon as the round is over, I went to my fight.def and changed "over.waitttime" to 0, but now the K.O sound is playing twice. Didn't happen before the change and I could not fix it myself (only reseting it to the value it was before) or find anything related searching the forum or on google. Any help is appreciated.

I'll take the ride to ask something else. It's kinda related.
Is there any way to make the velocity of the characters "normal" after a KO? Because by default they will be sent flying faster than normal. I vaguely remember seeing somewhere a parameter to control the velocity of the characters after the KO, but now I can't find it.

Turn on debug (ctrl + D), do the move, look what state it is, search for the state number in the CMD.

The intro in common1 will do nothing if you have an intro in your character. Anyway:

Change that trigger1 to "time = 0".

Ok. There are two ways to change lifebars. The first one is overwriting the default lifebar files, the second one is creating a new folder and changing the path in system.def.

To make sure you're using the correct path, go to the data folder and open 'mugen.cfg' with notepad. Search for the 'motif' line, it should look something like this:
motif = data/mugen1/system.def
This is the path to your current screenpack. Now go to this path and open system.def. Search for 'fight'. In the default screenpack it's like this:
fight = fight.def
or
fight = data/mugen1/fight.def

Change this line with the correct path to your new lifebars. If you replaced the default lifebars in the data folder, change it to:
fight = data/fight.def
If you created another folder somewhere, change it to that folder:
fight = data/warzard_lifebar/fight.def

If you get an error when opening MUGEN you probably need to change paths in fight.def too, following that same logic above.
Hope it all makes sense.

What is exactly happening? The lifebars didn't change from the previous one or you can't see any lifebar at all?

Maybe you need "D" in the hitflag for the attack to connect. Something like "hitflag = MAFD".

I can help you set up the dreamcast emu with CvS2 so you can play online. It's really easy AF. It's been really improved over the years for simplicity. Which emu were you using? Hopefully you were using the BEAR launcher (null-DC) as that's the best around right now.

Also, Alpha 3 MAX I heard sucks.

The emu that comes with FightCade now is Flycast and it doesn't work on my laptop, I think because it needs OpenGL3 and my device is old, the emu crashes right after I open it, can't even load anything.

By the time I was trying FightCade I saw that it had another DC emu in earlier versions, nullDC. I downloaded it and it works fine, but I could not play CvS2 on it and I have no idea why. I load the rom and it says there is no disc. I tried different roms but none of them worked. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, idk.

So, I'm accepting your help. Even if I can't play it online, at least getting it to work and playing offline is already good.

About Alpha 3 MAX, well, I don't see why it sucks, I like it.

He was joking saying that not having a dark theme is white supremacy or something (which I personally don't find funny but w/e), then edited the post adding this video and changing the original message.
