Hi so im using warzone screenpack and 99% of the time, whenever i add a new char, i have no problems whatsoever, creating a portrait to display in the select screen of characters.

Now i downloaded some new chars, name:

TOUKA from AQUAPAZZA -AQUAPLUS DREAM MATCH(Ver. 2.01)-   by CSX

and whenever i edit it to add a different 9000,1 portrait.. the portrait doesnt display in the character selection, and if i chose second player, i can see the portrait, small.  but all the rest works fine as it should, char sprites in game and char icon in grid.



second player: i can see the protrait in miniature, i presume first player isnt visible because it just renders out of the screen with weird coordinates.





So i read somewhere that i had to disable localcoord = 1280,720  to ;localcoord = 1280,720 in the def file of the character.



Now the portrait works fine, but everything else is broken , because the character icon in the grid and the character in the fight, plus all his other sprites look gigantic.





Im pretty lost how can i solve this?

Do i have to resize all sprites of the character in fighter factory? that would be a nightmare. i just want the char to have the working portrait 9000,1 like all the rest of my chars. thank you


JUST A SMALL UPDATE, i decided to give my portraits an abnormally humungous size, increasing my portrait to a 400% size with photoshop. now it does look OK, but im not sure if this is the correct way of deal with this

Hi so i recently stumbled upon this video:




i cant find the frieza that dude is using.

the name of the char is frieza golden transform apparently so i got Golden_Freeza__A7.. but its not that one.

can somebody share the one displayed in that video?

im desperately looking for a high quality frieza if possible with golden transofrmation such as the one in the video.
i currently use the one made by Ryon but i wanted to test that other one.

UPDATE: found it Frieza-R 1.0/1.1 by The_Ultra_Instinct-PT
dont really like it, doesnt even have normal attacks to combo. just every button is a special move

my favorite ironman works like a charm in mugen 1.1 now.

I fixed this issue myself a while back but dont remember how. but i have an idea on where to start.

Look for this state under Statedef 3344 and see if its there.

Hi so im migrating to mugen 1.1 and i found out my old favorite ironman char by magus (ironman_v1.2) has that annoying bug where the proton cannon doesnt work anymore. it does work fine in mugen 1.0.

character seems to play the animation but the laser itself doesnt appear, making no damage whatsoever.

Ive googled the problem and i found 2 threads across the internet talking about the problem, but nobody ever responded with a solution to this.

I have experience tweaking chars here and there and assembling my own custom packs to enjoy, but im afraid this requires coding char knowledge which seems to be exceeding my limits.

If anyone could be kind enough can somebody help in this issue? this damned proton cannon seems to be the only thing missing.

Not trying to be rude or anything but you should read what i wrote. Or watch my video. I clearly thank all the characters and stage rippers for their work. The intro and the screenpack menu is entirely made by me. And a lot of characters have been modified heavily by me also. Forceing me to rip from 0 some characters because the originals were lacking sprites animations and had several errors in sprites coordinate locations. Color palets were also fucked up in certain cases. But i dont blame them.

Hi everybody, after a lot of work, balancing, polishing bugs and stuff alike im finally able to proudly present to the world my dragon ball themed mugen.

I tried to make a game in the dragon ball universe situated between the buu saga and dragon ball GT.
My favourite dragon ball game of all time is shin butouden for the sega saturn.
I will have to thank all the character and stages creators for their amazing work.
Here i will leave a couple of screenshots and the download link if you are interested.

16 chars, 16 stages each with their own music. All the soundtrack is from Dragon Ball Legends and Shin Butouden for Sega Saturn.

Yes... Anything you make in Mugen you'll need to include. That means all the stages, characters, music, anything you make for your project is needed to be included.

The only other option is to pack everything in molebox. But that's not recommended, AFAIK.

I second that.
Besides, using molebox to pack your stuff makes the loading times longer and the overall performance is diminished. Plus, the main purpose of mugen is to share content. Dont forget mugen is a freeware engine. I hate when people pack their mugen releases. Its just hypocrisi because 90% of the time those dudes used stuff from other people.
Imagine a day when people start to release every mugen they make with packed protection. It would suck. The magic of mugen is the creativity and freedom to include or delete, or create in order to make your dream fighter or at least, to come close to that. If someday everybody molebox their stuff, resources will decrease and mugen will die. So using molebox is a bad habit.

Yes it looks aweful, ill give you that. But im a fan of that game. I was able to make the character work allright. Not the blood, but the capcomvsmarvel classic splashes when punching. which i dont care that much. Its playable. The only annoying thing is that everytime i jump , he makes the sound of the special. that "shhhiik" sound when you make a special in marvelvscapcom. lol

Yes i just found out recently in another forum.
not only you have to put: order=0, but also you have to put the stage in that specific character.
If you only put order=0 it will not work.
so the final look of the line should be something like this:

Scorpion MKA, stages/Armory_mk2.def, order=0
Sub-Zero MKA, stages/Armory_mk2.def, order=0

Hope this works for somebody else as well.

Thanks for the reply anyway, i didnt know that this doesnt work for the survival mode. That sucks.

Hi, i know there are ways to make a certain character unselectable by human players. Such as making them unreachable in the select grid.

But my question is if there is a way to do exactly the opposite.

Is there a way to make a certain character be unselectable by the PC? So if you are playing ARCADE mode, PC will never choose that character?
But i want myself or friends of mine to be able to choose them.

Ex. i have a scorpion, version by MKA. He is awesome,. It has lots of custom skills even you can change his fighting techniques from classic to hapkido. Same goes for the subzero MKA.
Problem is, that when PC fights you, and you are not using scorpion or subzero against the PC, there is a certain move that they make that they throw you in the ground and its impossible to get back into the fight. The player character seems to enter a loop bouncing into the ground. And the enemy PC AI wont hit you again. Making the fight impossible to finish if you have infinite time limit.
It is possible however, to unglitch the problem simply by giving the glitched character a simple low kick. So thats why i dont worry if it is selectable by a human. The problem is when the PC uses them.

EDITED: hi i just figured out a way i could solve this.
My arcade mugen is configured like this: arcade.maxmatches   = 7,4,1
So i was thinking in assigning my subzero and scorpions order 10. As i only have up to order 3 in my arcade mode. Will that work? i will test it.

Hi everyone, im looking for subzero character from mythologies subzero.
I know he is featured in a mortal kombat themed mugen release. called mortal kombat chaotic.

But im having some issues trying to add it into my roster.

For instance, whenever i punch the oponent there is no blood, but the effects that are incuded in my mugen.
Also whenever i jump, subzero seems to trigger the sound of the special.

So in other words, im looking for an "independent" version of MKM subzero than could be easily ported to any mugen.
