Wow, this is crazy awesome! Thanks a lot for all of these epic stages.
Edit: I got a problem with the Dino Crisis, that the front part is just a giant pink/purple box. I've tried on both 1.0 and 1.1. The animations works beautiful, and the zoom works, but the part I assume is lava is just that huge pink box, but it's lava plume animations are shown correctly and visable.
Nice work! Yeah, I definitely think the Foot Clan lair is the most impressive with all the grunts looking on as an audience! Is the April capture/free animation all part of dcat's character intro or did you hard-code it into the stage?
I love the Pizza Hut reference in the city street stage.
For the Big Apple 3am stage, I think the front layer girders are a bit too obtrusive. If you could open up more visibility lines, it would help with the fighting.
I think most of the stages could also benefit from more cameos in the audience. The Lair and April's Apartment seem a little empty with just Splinter and April. And all of the exterior areas would look cool with various bystanders looking on.
Some cool concepts bro. I would suggest using 1.1 scalestart if you want to increase the size of your sprites and not have that "blurry" look to them. My favorite is Foot Clans Lair.
It's the screenpack resolution. I tried on 1.0 and 1.1 at 640x480 and got the same result, but on a 1280x720 the stage looks good. You may want to start coding your stages using a 480p screenpack to ensure they work on most builds. I think if the user sets the stagefit = 0 in the muen.cfg that may also help.
So I got around to physically testing the stages, and like I said, they all look really cool, but a lot of them appear incorrectly and I'm not sure how to remedy this problem. Any ideas?Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
Man, the background characters look huge. Birdie looks 9 feet tall. Balrog doesn't look his size either. Maybe reduce background element sizes to fit the Manhattan part of the stage better.
is there a way to reduce single elements? it was kinda a joke stage anyway so I wasn't talking it to seriously.
In 1.1 it's easy. You can use scalestart = x,y. Default is 1,1. So decrease or increase the values to make your sprites taller or wider.
going to have to check that out, could be a total game changer, thanks Vegaz, and thanks Curry for the heads up
