the grooves stand for other stuff, they're not supposed to 100% replicate CvS2, the naming is confusing a bit so I get why you thought that, but the khan stuff yeah i'll look into it, as well as not having an indicator of A-groove's timing, the same issue applies for E-groove's MAX Mode so I'll get that fixed as well.
The folks over at the Ultimate MUGEN Team bring to you the second ever PvP UMT IKEMEN tournament. We will be using an IKEMEN build contained with MUGEN characters of all styles. This tournament will be strictly Ratio only. The tournament begins Saturday April 24, 2021 at 6:00 PM PDT (US West coast Time). Make sure to read the tournament rules and regulations and download the needed software you need to play IKEMEN online.

normals, small portraits and palettes finished. his normals will be rather average at best, exchanging good range for a majority normals having either low plus values or somewhat high minus values. he will still use these normals throughout his pressure, a key aspect of his game, with the normals that involve fake Hierophant being his better normals, however the normals that dont involve fake Heirophant are a crucial part of his combos. So basically one half of his normals are meant for his pressure game, and the other half is used for combo starters and set-ups. I'll try to get to his more advanced bits of his gameplay with his specials when I get to it.

Khan specials finished, including his unique counter move. I'll see what custom super moves I can make to give more variety to his move-set since his specials are sort of lacking in said variety. His combo gave is sort of enhanced by his EX moves but still overall simple and nothing too crazy.

Khan normals are near finished. His normal strings are rather limited like in source. His cr.LP is cancelable into st.LP, st.MP and cr.LK. cr.LK is cancelable into itself only, and that's about it.
Crouching LP and Aerial HP are still his best buttons, with cr.MK being arguably the worst button of the bunch, however it retains it's range while being able to low-profile some attacks due to how the hitboxes were made on it.
I’m thinking of how Khan’s gameplay would be like. In source, his only good normals were 2A (crouching light attack) and j.C (jumping heave attack). I’ll definitely make all of his buttons have some use, though I’ll have to make a few custom sprites to accommodate for the fact that he’s 6 buttons.
He’s going to be a neutral/rushdown oriented character and his buttons will have favorable frame data. I will still make 2A (which will by crouching light punch) and j.C (air hard punch) his best buttons to stay true to khan’s form, though his other buttons won’t be completely useless like in source. His combo game will still be the same, that being very limited to only a few combos and hit confirms. Also his counter move will be an interesting challenge for me. Basically if you counter a move, you learn that move. If you block that same attack afterwards you can press an attack button in blockstun and counter it with the button you pressed. It’ll involve a lot of variable storage, though I can figure it out.
He will have more than a few custom supers to give a bit more variety to his move set. I haven’t really thought fully on that yet but he will have a fair amount of supers instead of just 2 like in source.
His mobility will get nerfed, but it will still be pretty high. His aerial spinny funny allowed him to move around the stage with ease, so aerial spinny funny’s mobility will be toned down. He will still have good mobility, not as much as source though.
That’s my initial plan for khan. I think this is a good start for the time being and I’ll build upon these initial ideas as character creation furthers in the process
