it has been a long while since you release complete stages from a game to mugen and ikemen go engine, cool to see the entire real bout fatal fury 2's stages converted :8):

BTW... IKEMEN GO nightly - the bgmusic.round setting doesn't work. Works in the version before nightly.

I tested this on 4-16-2025, and you're right. Those guys know how to mess things up. I think they changed the code somehow.

Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 newcomers were never interactive, but the other RBFF games were. The RBFF PART 2 HAD stage event changes that THEY WERE, and that's how I made it and what I did for the stages based on real game source. So use the merge stages ikemen code. You can start using the merge code on the notepad that I provided.

Yes, because it's using the ikemen go feature code for the day, evening, and night for each round for the merge code.
But if you like to test it on Mugen 1.1 for me, let me know. I'd love to know how it will fare with Mugen.

Awesome release!!! These old stages has an special charm even nowadays!!!

Thank you also. Few stages were ever made, and some were lost and forgotten. I wanted to revive the Ikemen feather code with merge with the rounds or no merge and have it separated, and you won't believe some the unused sprite I found when ripping them

These were actually ripped from the actual game of Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The New Challenger from the emulator called Nebula version 2.25 beta. All sources from the sprites were ripped by myself and coded very accurately to the actual game source. All credit goes to the SNK Playmore company, and all the resources belong to the SNK company.

Hello OldGamer.

First of all, thank you for your review, I mean it. About the characters, I chose POTS style because I found all the characters that I need in the same style. But maybe I can add an extra mode using Bats archives like I did in my other project. About characters, I don´t have much experience on that, but I´ll try to make some changes in the effects, maybe sparks, too. I want to add something similar to this during the Super effect:



I want to add the "X" instead of the character portrait in Orange/Red color.

I´ll search for characters again, you told me a good point, I´ll see want I found.

Once again, thank you for your words Oldgamer, I´m glad to know that you like this project.

Sorry, Old-Gamer, but from my humble point of view, there are better ways to say the same you said.


-  KenZ2: It's always nice to see newcomers arriving to mugen and trying to learn and do stuff. Just keep in mind, what you did is not a game, is a compilation. I mean, anyone can grab some characters, putting some order, chosing the rivals etc and arm them in a screenpack. In the other hand, calling something your game, means you coded those characters(using or not pre-existing sprites). In any case, if you need to learn or have doubts or else, feel free to make questions in the correct topics. And welcome!
Yeah, you're so right.  I have to worked on my grammar better and explained it better. As you said, I should have said it another way. So I thank you for correcting me. I'm very happy to know that one of the moderators was kind enough to move this compilation here at Ikemen General discussion.

Just another put-together fangame with random characters that anyone can do. It's nice that you took the effort, but still don't call it a full game because it's nothing close to a real game. The only thing you did was add news slots with the default version of Ikemen, and that's about it. It doesn't even consider it a full game.

My FeedBack.
As a fan of Street Fighter 2, I have to respect that you took the time to make this look really decent and also very close to the original Game Boy Advance for Super Street Fighter 2 remake. I have to say that you should have taken a different approach. I mean, we already have Capcom versus SNK's pop styles, and believe it or not, that's okay, but we have enough of that. I wish you could have used a different approach by adding different hyper moves and different things, and you know, we're already sick and tired of PoTS style. Would have been great had a different style of gameplay; it's time to move to a different approach and a different style of gameplay. You know, I was really hoping to see something new and different, but I just don't like the fact that you took the time to make a great screen pack for the game, and then you turn around and put pot-style characters in it. It just doesn't feel right. That's just my feedback on the matter.

My Opinion
To make it more interesting, it would be great if you could make the characters more like the Street Fighter II classic or the Street Fighter 2 version of the SNK; that would have been a great, perfect mix and a perfect match. This way it keeps everything balanced, so this way it feels more of a nostalgic style than juicing a Capcom versus SNK type style.  The whole purpose was when Nintendo and Capcom went ahead and teamed up to make Super Street Fighter 2 for the Game Boy Advance; they wanted to use illustrated art with their 2D style with the CPS-1 system style, but that's just something in my opinion; you should have gone with the SNK style of Street Fighter instead of the Capcom vs. SNK style.

MY FINAL THOUGH IN THE MATTER

On one hand, I took the time and played your game. I really enjoyed the visuals, especially the background of the select screen. I enjoyed the life bars being so nostalgic and yet close to the Gateway Advance. I also enjoyed the option screen; it's kind of similar to The King of Fighters 13 style of the option screen for the PlayStation 3.  And I really did enjoy the victory screen that you included. I also love the versus screen as well; everything else was really great also. Some of the stages that you chose were perfect because they were close to the Game Boy Advance version as well, and I thought that was a nice little cool twist.

but all in all, I believe that this game was worth the time of playing, and it's great for the emulator communities because they collect all kinds of Mugen and also games for their front end, for example, like Big Box with Lunch Box or Retro Fat Front End. So therefore, I really enjoy the game; I just have to nitpick a few things for what I think about the game in general, but other than that, it was worth my time, and it was worth playing.

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed. I'm excited about the possibilities with AI imagery; the major background piece in Lothlorien on the left, and most of the background in Balin's tomb were AI.
I also successfully extended an existing stage through AI (Midjourney) content fill, by expanding an existing background to allow zoom.
even they were AI  but the fact remain that you made them really good. that I had  to give A SHOUT OUT to you for awesome work you created.

This screen pack was made for burning souls, and the screen pack was remade and dedicated to the original creator, Tatsu, aka Shiyo Kakuge, who created the original source.

Discord had decided to disband any members from the country of Turkey, so therefore we can't keep in touch with Burning Saw. After what happened, it's been more than a year, and we have not heard from him either from Mugen Fighters Guild.
