@Archell:  Hey man! How's stuff? I'm mostly interested if you are planning to pick up your Pocket Pyramid Head soon,
SD Bluestreak came out great and he should have a buddy to rumble with! Make it happen!

ah sorry man, I don't check these forums very often anymore. I've been kinda busy and moved away from mugen. Pocket pyramid head might never happen, it was a good learning experience making all those animations but I don't think it will ever see the light of day.

That's way better, now it feels like he is pulling himself up from the chair. I think that's a good amount of frames.

what do you think, does it look better than your original?

I never got into off the record but I looked up this check point system you're talking about and it sounds like a bad design choice. It's funny because I make so many of these card fighter clash cards and I never actually played the game until yesterday, and WOW its an amazing game (cfc2).

My bad, I thought you meant inbetweens as in what you have in your previous animation, not new keyframes. No problem.

You make some good points about dead rising 2, it has a bigger environment and more content, but I prefer frank over chuck because I can relate to frank better, he is just your everyday guy, but chuck is this super motocross racer tough guy which I can't relate to. I bought dead rising 2 on xbox 360 and it had a lot of lag in fortune strip and weird lighting issues.

Yeah you're right, case west was really good.

I think what it comes down to is personal preference, I prefer a japanese developed game, made by all my favorite capcom staff (hideki okugawa, keiji inafune) which introduced a lot of interesting game mechanics such as the camera and time system.

I like the original dead rising because it was made by the people at capcom, it has a certain charm to it, dead rising 2 is still good for what it is. Maybe its also because I didn't have a very good experience with dead rising 2 , it lagged in fortune strip and the story didn't appeal to me. Or maybe by that time I was too mature for video games, it didn't creep me out as much as dead rising.

I like the original dead rising because its just focuses on one idea, a mall full of zombies.

I'll be glad to take on a commission if you want.

That looks like a faster version of your previous one, not much change I can see.

I'm not saying to have heaps of frames like this, but just notice the anticipation, how he puts his head down and pushes him self up, you might need to add a couple of frames to get that effect.

Pretty cool animation, but I think the anticipation before he gets up could be exaggerated more, when you get out of a chair you have to push yourself up, with him it feels like he almost just floats into position and he seems like a pretty heavy guy. I think this might boost your knowledge: http://art-eater.com/2010/07/test-1-darkstalkers/

I'm not a huge fan of dead rising 2. Some random sketches.
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
I was thinking if anybody is interested in a card fighters clash card, I can do one for $5. Gives me something to do.

Thanks but I can't take too much credit for card crusher, I didn't draw it, only pixeled it.

Thanks guys. If I were to export a 3d model then it wouldn't be pixel art would it then? I animated the legs by hand first, but then when trying to add detail there was a lot of issues, so I rigged some legs in 3d. Iv'e done the front two as you can see, the back legs are still to come. If this thing completely fails I might just animate the entire thing in 3d and then work from that......or just give up on it.

Heres something I've been working on, on and off, this is a wip that may or may never get finished, I hope I can finish it though, its just so damn difficult, I've used a bit of 3d reference to help me. I've gone through a lot making this, including nightmares about spiders. Yes I did animate back legs but I'm going to redo them.

Wow guys, he turned out great, I was messing around with him for 15 mins or so and he is put together really well, really creative super moves and he is really fun to play. Great job guys, and the readme website is really nice as well.

It might just be my mugen but if you keep going to the top of the screen you can make him disappear and you're probably going to hate me for saying this but I think he needs animations for walk foward/back/up/down. The flame is very static when moving around. This has probably already been discussed but I didn't follow the wip.

@Trinitronity
It's mainly because the advanced page takes forever to load, Its not that big a deal. I would prefer the old layout still.

Thanks Jiggeh, I think the toes are ok, maybe there could be less of a gap between toes, but i'll leave it.
