This time, it will be a Random Select Tournament Mode

This would be one of the Special Tournament Event Mode that's going to be featured in UMT server. More Special  Tournament Modes would be implemented in the future to give different flavors for different type of events.

Challonge registration is now open for Random Select Tournament Mode Event for KOFMLV2 KRW Version IKEMEN Tournament

The tourney will be held at Saturday October 22, 2022 at 3PM PDT (US West Coast Time)

The mode it will be played on will be 3v3 Turns Mode

Please make sure that you guys download the latest update of the build

Please don't forget to do a connection test before the tournament starts

For the rules, please refer to read-da-rules for more info.

While the time in this announcement was set, please let us still know if you guys still wanted a voting for a different time or you guys wanted to move it to a different schedule in schedule-negotiation

For this upcoming tournament, the winner of this tournament WILL be able to decide ONE character to get prioritized for the next character addition update

For the most part yes. IKEMEN GO is very backward compatible with like 90% of the MUGEN stuff out there. There will sometimes be some slight graphical/explod inaccuracies, but it's pretty spot on for the most part. IKEMEN GO has a natively built network mode for online play as well, which MUGEN shamefully doesn't.

IKEMEN GO is open source, has GO language for the engine, and lua & zss for other stuff. There's no mugen.cfg file in IKEMEN GO, but all of that can be adjusted in Options menu. Options menu in IKEMEN GO has expanded to more options and features as well.

However, if you something that has been modified or made specifically for IKEMEN GO, and you try to load it into MUGEN, there's a chance it won't work. That's only if say, you took a POTS Ryu, and added IKEMEN GO exclusive stuff to him, then he's no longer compatible with MUGEN.

only thing he needs is to use JZ's Marvel 2 datamine tool and get the actual CLSN (hitbox/hurtbox) data and put it into this Morrigan, and he's like most of the way there to authentic Marvel behavior. Not much was really changed from MvC1/MvC2 boxes anyway. Someone relay this message to him.

To me, this game has one of the best Ryu's ever. Part of it is the character itself, and part of it is the integration into SVC EX's unique system that makes him stand out to me. I also love the SFEX voices, I wish the voices got a slight volume increase.

Besides that, whenever I used to play this game, the soundtrack would literally get me pumped as fuck. I love the soundtrack in this game. I don't have much other feedback at the moment but just wanted to drop a few thoughts.

Nice Palettes or pre-fight dialogs aren't hard to do, it really isn't a selling point.

Palettes can be made by pretty much anyone, nice ones aren't difficult at all if the person in question has experience, pre-fight dialog isn't all that rare either, you're basically grasping at straws here

Relax! I was just joking lol. Reread my post again it's just a little satire mixed with some half truths. I'm in no way justifying what 2dee does. I dont honor or acknowledge that. To me, it seems the best thing he does is just trailers (hype), palettes, color separations, and annoyingly dragged out dialog that no serious fighter in versus mode or p2p online would care about. He should be a writer instead.

2Dee at least makes nice palettes though!!!!! (Tho palettes are nice, I dont over prioritize them like he does, to the point where it's almost a "selling point")

2Dee did commission someone to make his own custom screenpack though. And all that dialog that he does for the prefights? All his/his people. But, serious fighters usually dont care about prefight intro dialog anyway.

Hi I'm testing her out now. Feels pretty solid. Feels like the closest we'll ever get to a CvS2 Sakura. Currently, Warusaki3's Sakura is dated in comparison. Yes, velocities and collisions (hitboxes) are extremely important. I'm glad you got those down.

For Dark Sakura, I would recommend using her evil stance. Also, maybe give her tatsu some juggles like Akuma. As in, Akuma can do tatsu --> DP. Giving Sakura something like that would be pretty cool imo. She also needs some more unique moves that define her evil-ness.

As far as regular Sakura is concerned, she seems solid. I'm glad you kept the EnvShakes on her DP shououken nice and subtle just like source game. because I've seen some other Sakura's with big EnvShakes on the same move and it looks tacky. I think CvS2 had a very slight subtle EnvShake, or sometimes, none at all. but yeah, good stuff.

Unfortunately, some creators who use the IKEMEN engine learn new techniques and functions and end up not revealing or sharing knowledge about it, this is because, in the hope of earning money on Youtube, they don't want IKEMEN to become something accessible, and some even encrypt folders for prevent them from finding out, this is ridiculous, we all know that it is not possible to make money with mugen and sooner or later everyone will know how to use this engine.

What kind of issues?

From what I've been told, most classic fighters (good ones) handle commands like this. Motions and buttons separate. but anyways, I dont know too much. but I've been using it for a long time now and it's pretty good.

There is such a thing called Turtlewax, aka JZ & Vans deep buffering system, rewritten specifically for IKEMEN GO. The zss version was rewritten by Jesuszilla and the lua version was more recently remade by kamekaze. Both are which are very good, and fix double press issues. Doing akuma's ashura senkuu has never felt easier!

The great part about this deep buffering system exclusively for IKEMEN GO, is that you can apply it simply very easily to any character. It no longer looks like a jumbled mess like it does in MUGEN.

With how simple it is to implement these command buffers, you could take older works like Warusaki3's stuff or even other Japanese creators work and very easily implement the new a better command buffers, without needing to do the insane shitload amount of work you would have to do in MJGEN.

Also, if someone is using mostly stuff from Jmorphman/Karma C type of work, they already got explodsive buffer, so there's no need to use the default ikemen  input system.

MUGEN is still more popular due to how long it has been around, and because many MUGEN users are usually content with the lack of online fight capabilities (not everyone can use parsec). IKEMEN GO on the other hand has a growing fighting player base which is good, due to how easy it is to get matchmaking done.
