Did a replay of Yakuza Kiwami since I was in the mood after going through Kiwami 2 recently.

I was mainly focusing on the story my first run so now that I actually opted to do the Majima Everywhere sidequest this time around, I have to say... It was tedious as hell. But man, playing with a fully upgraded Kiryu was so fun. Penultimate boss still blows though.

Completely forgot to mention it earlier but there's another OBT going on right now for PS4/PS5 until the 4th. Same as last one except with Ghostblade and some buffs to the rest of the cast.

Preorders up on Amazon Japan now and we get to see the box art showing 2 new characters. Enchantress (Female Mage) and someone who I'm assuming is an OC.

The trailer reveals Ghostblade (another version of M.Slayer joining Berserker) but they've also teased Mechanic (F.Gunner) and Troubleshooter (another version of Agent alongside Hitman) and keeping in line with the character select screen, then there are only 3 slots left for the base roster (presumably F.Slayer and the two Mages) for a size of 16.

Also, the trailer reveals a Summer 2022 release date.

I've seen streams and people's reactions to it... and it seems like so far the game plays fine.

The only criticisms are the errors and balancing.
I've been playing it since it started and as mentioned, it's mainly a test of the servers and netcode since it's online only. The first night was kind of messy since the servers kept dying and they had to keep putting it into maintenance but it seems like they managed to fix it. After playing a good number of matches, I actually like the game a lot more than I thought I would. The characters all feel really fun even if some feel a little stronger than the rest (Crusader and Kunoichi come to mind) and the netcode is surprisingly amazing.

Seems to be a 5 button game. A B S (Skill) MS (MP Skill, uses MP) and AS (Awakening Skill, the supers) Awakening also seems to give a character specific bonus alongside being able to use the super.

The tweet also mentions that they'll post 4 videos about the system mechanics soon.
