I may lack the time to do so, but I can surely try it out for ya' and express the odd thought on it.
I can definitely judge movesets, but balance could be a lil' harder because it requires a lotta analysis.

1. Shippu Jinrai Kyaku's voice clip cuts off too early before the Tatsu part.
2. Shinbu Messatsu is rather plain looking without a fire effect on the Shoryuken at the end. It'd be cooler of it was multi-hit aswell.
3. Having a Shinryuken as both a 'V-Trigger' and a Level 2 Super is rather odd especially when they both cost power. This would make more sense if the Super Shinryuken was a Level 3 with the SF4 Animation but with the added Fire Pillar. The pillar could also do with a flame sound to accompany it.
4. His Custom Level 3 looks sick but could also do with some Hitsparks and fire effects because it looks quite dry in its current state.

Grats on Dan's Beta release RR!

I know he's still in beta but here's some feedback to help you fill in the gaps:

- Standing HK's hitspark is a bit misaligned, I think it should be higher
- Standing MP's hitspark should be slightly lower
- Standing LK's hitspark is misaligned
- Zenten Chouhatsu doesn't have a voice sample
- Level 1 Hisshou Buraiken doesn't come out
- Ground EX Dankuukyaku doesn't have EX flash for the entire duration of the move

Overall Dan looks really promising and I like where this is going!


I fixed the Buraiken issue (forgot to replace its command) and will look into the rest for the next beta release. Redownload.

Good news!
Fast tested.

-I cannot remember exactly CVS2, but does Dan have different sprites for his crouch light kick? (In CVS2)
-will he have his "kick" throw too ?

Also, for personnal knowledgle.
-I can see you used some of Benimaru's elements/base. Do you copy paste some moves codes+anims into Benimaru for the base ?
(I just want to understand, if this method works well - as a base)

- The sprites seem to be the same for both.
- The kick throw in CvS is just the same thing but with a Crouch taunt and I don't feel like repeating the same attack. The replacement is set to be the SF4 throw where he struggles with lifting P2.

I datamined the main movement velocities with Karma's help and I plan to go further in the next update. The Damage also based from the CvS2 guidebook with converted values.
The rest that I copy-pasted is mainly that of Warusaki's version with some hitboxes originating from JtheSaltyy's version which seem to be CvS2 accurate from what I can see. I used references from the likes of Jmorph for example to convert the moves though.

From what I'm seeing from the video:

-The charge particles are misaligned. I'd also suggest moving the bottom charge a bit to the right so it matches to his feet.
-Same with Hisshou Buraiken, but it's an easy fix.
-EX Dankuukyaku should either be made so it has more stun-time or moved closer so the last hit connects.
-It is source wise with the 5 hits of Shinkuu Gadouken in CvS2, but I assume the PotS' Ryu is 8 hits (and future Ryu's too), when it's originally 5 in it anyway. I feel 3 to 5 fits Dan pretty well with it, but it's ultimately up to you.
-Looking at the history of Hisshou Buraiken, sometimes some hits before the uppercut seem to at one point bring the opponent closer. I thought that'd be pretty neat to include as well. See here if you want.

Might do the Buraiken vaccum thing, I had it planned as a buff but I wasn't sure if it was an official thing.

From the Video I can see a couple of nitpicks.

The charging effect is over his feet (maybe its cause of the stage ?)
His damage is high.
A design choice but not everything needs a MAX variant.
Make sure you keep his CVS excel combo where he can get the OP to the moon.
Some of the hit pauses on hypers look weird, dynamic moves will not have such wonky hitpauses.
Was his DP EX 2 hit in USF4 ?

Looking good so far.

- I based it on his CvS2 damage, but I'll lower it if it's too absurd.
- It depends on the move. I like giving supers both Level 1s and 2s for consistency and because why not. I feel like I could buff the Shinkuu Gadoukens to 5 (LVL1) and 8 (LVL2) hits to go with the other PotS Shotos. Chouhatsu Densetsu will be Level 1 only.
- Yeah, it's possible but it isn't perfect.
- Which super in particular? Koryurekka's the weirded IMO so I can tweak it if need be.
- Yeah, it was 2 hits.
