Dipod is an insanely talented artist! I have nothing but respect for him. But he is doing his own thing now. Thanks for the other suggestion.

This position has been filled. So I will edit my original post to reflect that.

Btw I like this community and have been a long time fan of MUGEN. My favorite character creator was Reu and I cried when he died. I want to be more active from now on.

I'm looking more for an artist to draw the motions out than someone to covert them to a pixelated format. However, since this is the type of animation that is still optimized to run in a game engine, I consider it spriting.

If there is a more appropriate place to post my offer I'm open to suggestions. I've tried other forums like gamedev.net, pixeljoint and deviant art. I always end up asking people "Have you ever made a MUGEN char? So I ended up coming here. "

I also strickly need a 2D artist. Oh gosh a 3d one is too much. The engine I programmed can't even do 3d.

I don't even know if this is allowed but here goes.
 
I need an animator for my indie game. and obviously I'm willing to pay to get it done. If you can draw mugen/fighting game characters than you most certainly will be able to help me. Good knowledge of anatomy and animation is a requirement. Pixel art is NOT. If I could specify a style, it would be CvS, or SNK. One of the reference characters I'm using is Vanessa from KoF 2002.

Since this is an OC, I can give motion references for some things but she will need a lot done from scratch.

The price range is 300-400$ per month. I'm expecting to pay around 2000$ for this char probably more. I also have needs for at least 4-5 other chars. One is a male that will probably be a somewhat lesser price.

I need someone to animate this character. I've already posted in deviant art twice but I couldn't find someone with the skills I need. Consequently, I've seen people that have drawn out Mugen characters who I really want to hire.

And it is really hard to find the talent! Even though I'm willing to pay more than people that commission artwork.

Can someone refer to me an artist that can draw humanoid/bipedal characters, is willing to work commision (even though I plan to draw a contract), and can do fight game-ish animation ? Is there a place where I can post a classified add? The classified section does not seem appropriate here. One of the rules is don't ask for original content, if I read that correctly.

Halp. I've never thought it would be so hard to get artists to take my money XD
