Maavo's a rushdown character (how original), mainly inspired on Joker from P5 and Smash Bros. Ultimate. There are some known mechanics such as short hop, superjump, damage scaling, rage, counter hits, and more cool stuff (All of this was worked by Solarflared). BUUT he also has an original mechanic, pretty much inspired from Smash Bros itself.

Dash Dancing
While you're in the Dash state, press the button on the opposite direction, and you'll rapidly dash backwards. Doing this repeatedly slowly gives you energy bar! The faster you dash dance, the more energy you get!

Now, let's get into the special moves!

Rising Pencil
D, F, x
Maavo swings his pencil upwards, performing a high leap. Pretty similar to Marth's Dolphin Slash.
This works pretty much as a combo starter, since you gain control back in the air if you hit the enemy. Use this careful tho, it'll let you wide open if you miss!

Multiple Stab
D, F, y
Maavo unleashes a series of stabs before knocking the enemy back with a final stab. Works pretty good as a combo finisher, but you can perform a supercancel on this move too.

Fake Paper
D, F, z
This is a counter move. Maavo poses, and a paper drawing of him shows above him. If it gets hit, the paper tears, and the real Maavo attacks the opponent. You can supercancel this move too!

Go, Ivette!
D, B, x
Maavo summons Ivette, then she falls from the sky and hits the opponent downwards. Pretty good move to extend your combos. You can't use this move if her helper bar isn't full. You can execute this move on the air

Go, Maritza!
D, B, y
Maavo summons Maritza, then she slides trough the stage and stuns the opponent with her hammer! You can't use this move if her helper bar isn't full. You can execute this move on the air

Dash Attack
F, F, x
Pretty self explanatory. Maavo kicks the opponent while dashing forward.

Now let's get into the super moves!

Air Juggle (LVL 1)
D, F, D, F, x/y
Maavo dashes forward, and uppercuts the opponent. If the move conects, Maavo'll perform a 10 hits air combo!
You can perform this move in the air too.

Gran Tornado (LVL 1)
D, B, D, B, x (Short range)/y (Long range)
Maavo draws a giant tornado, and sends it to the opponent, performing a multi-hit combo.

All-Out Attack (LVL 3)
D, B, D, F, x/y
This move is a straight up recreation of the All-Out Attack, from Persona 5.
Maavo dashes forward to strike. If it hits, Maavo, Maritza and Ivette will execute an All-Out Attack on the opponent.
If the move kills, an special win screen will show up!
