Hey ThatIdahoGuy, sorry for the incredibly late response. I guess this time it's my turn to apologize for the Necro haha. Listen everyone, I really apologize for letting Link gather dust for so long. Life has been pretty busy on my end, and I've kind of fallen out of Mugen, with all this school climbing up my chest. Graduating and spending social time with friends has kind of replaced most of the motivation I had for this project. That being said, I don't at all intend to drop this completely. I suppose  I'm just sort of waiting for the right time to get back into the groove of working on it. It's been quite some time and I've just really fallen out of the loop with things. In all honestly, Link hasn't really had very much progress in my time away. But if anyone else wants to pick the project back up in the meantime of this indefinite hiatus, feel free to message me directly or comment and I'll upload all the work I've done thus far. From the bottom of my heart, I really want to thank everyone who guided me and helped me through working on all these sprites. This community is as ambitious and considerate as it gets! Thanks a lot and feel free to ask anything you want.

The move finishes fine, until this happens after p2 is vaporized.

I've searched all over to see if anyone has said anything about this in the Z2 forums, and keep coming up with nothing. But I don't want to Necrobump any of the topics if it's already been addressed. So if this has been mentioned, can anyone direct me to the posts?

Thanks man! Trying to follow your advice. How's it looking? The skir-err..I mean tunic is a bit tricky shade. I'm looking at the other sprites for reference.

As much as I'd love to be lazy and use this hunched down sprite, I had to admit that I didn't feel this is how Link would look when he pulled out his blade.

Most games have him standing in a more upright position, before he gets in his battle stance. But none of AxKeeper's sprites have Link standing straight. So I made this custom sprite.

Okay well here's all the frames from the current intro jump and the old basic jump. Maybe this will help you see whatever is bothering you.

It's definitely getting there. I'm still seeing remnants of the old face in the jumping off the leaf animation.

What do you mean? Do you think the old face needs to be modified? I can work on that if it's the issue. They're pretty much the exact same sprites as the old one, I just added shading, and small fixes to the green tunic.  :S

Added more layers to the Master Sword. Think it looks thick enough?

And added shading to the intro jump.

Things have been busy lately. Spent a week somewhere, and did some shopping, because school's right around the corner, to my resentful and crippling dismay.

But here, gave an attempt to adjust that line where the torso and shoulder meet, and tried to apply more movement.

How's the shoulder looking now?

Also, don't forget to thicken the blade of the sword a bit, considering we talked about a slight thickening since the original blade size was more like a kitana than the Master Sword.

Don't worry, it's still fresh in the noggin. I'm getting the position taken care of first, before I begin to add that little accessory.

This looks really useful. It'll definitely go well with some cool life bar. I know the Marvel Vs Capcom 2 guy can get really boring after awhile. But the MVC3 guy is just so incredibly enthusiastic. His hyped up narration would definitely fit for Mugen.

And isn't Alex just the greatest guy?

I've been social networking all day, and this has been the main topic of conversation on Facebook and Tumblr. But it's honorable to see even the Mugen community taking time to grieve and respect him for all the laughter and childhood memories he gave us. RIP.

I tried to lift the arm. Does that just about fix everything?

Hope you don't mind, but I messed around a bit and combined your first slash with the other one. I slowed down the speed of when he puts up his sword, and wanted to see what it would look like with a little spark effect. Just out of curiosity. :p

I was going for something kinda like this

I think the slow sword resheathing might work well for perhaps some kind of cinematic move. Just another idea from me.

Whelp, looks like there's still work left to do here! So I'll toy with his arm a bit. I did think there was something up with it, but I didn't think it would be too distracting. I'll see what I can do!

Taking just a little break on Link's intro, but it is being improved with some help from Alex.

In the meantime, have a look at this!

Tried to fill out all the gaps, and fixed the awkward sword from Manniku's WIP stance. I'd say it's just about done.
Whaddya think guys!? Pretty sexy right?

It is the first part of a special attack inspired of budokai. Personally I thought to do a special combo much like Dragon Fist of GokuZ2.
I do it in multiple parts so that we can stop during the combo or create varientes.

this is the first sword attack he did here.

Ultimately I think I'll kept the sprite when he turns the sword later. I think I'll make turning the sword but when he will put ranger his sword at the end of combo realized.

So you are saying you want to have his sword spin after a long sword combo? I don't think that's a bad idea. If he spins his sword after every slash, it might slow down his gameplay a bit.

Also great job with him putting up his sword! And I agree with what you say, his gameplay should be decided after animation.

Hey guys, just a question but when Trunks gets finally finished, will you add him to your Hyper Dragon Ball Z game? I know he's not exactly one of yours.

Maybe you should add one or more frames of him slipping the sword into the sheath, after the spin animation.

Sort of like this:

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

And I was thinking perhaps you could show just a little of the sword in this last frame, before you show him fully putting it in the holster.
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
Just another idea.

That said, you're just awesome at this man. And I definitely vote for the sword spinning!

If I do finish my Link edit, and you do return, will you ever update him? Perhaps every now and then you can still check up on things. Maybe it can be an exception and this project can be your very last update?

Ya know, it's kinda funny. I know we haven't exactly accomplished much, but I actually feel like we've done a lot together. I think I'm actually gonna miss you a bit haha. You've given me some courage and even made me feel like I could do so much more then simply praise the Z2 teams' creations. I really hope sometime you can return to give us more great stuff.
Being a Mugen creator is walking on a thin rope. I'm not even a programer and I know that. And sometimes the weight on your shoulders is just a tad too much to handle. But often it's the realization of the accomplishment, and the artistic work you've crafted, that can be the balance you need to cross it and hop onto another.

Sorry, I know I'm being a bit dramatic lol. You've given this community many great edits and chars, so thanks and we appreciate everything.
