If I remember correctly, there is no option to put the text in front of "layer = 1" sprites (assuming that the gray box is layer = 1).
I remember trying something similar with a screenpack I was creating, but with no success. I had to edit the character portraits instead.
I might be wrong though... maybe there is an option and I don't know.

While I agree with you about the sprites and the overall characters, in the end it's his video and he uses whatever he wants. Not cool to tell people what they should or should not use.

Something like this should do:

trigger1 = roundstate = 2
trigger2 = roundstate = 1 && anim = 0

You may need to change "anim = 0" to the right anim number for some characters, this will make the aura appear as soon as the character goes to the stance animation.

AI in mugen most of the times works like this:
In the CMD there are the moves intended for the player, with commands and buttons to press, and there is the moves intended for the AI, which are triggered by specific conditions. In most cases the authors use "random" to avoid making the AI read inputs so much that it is too automatic / predictable.
If you wish to tone down the AI, you just need to lower these random values. Example: change "random < 200" to "random < 50". The value is trial and error, keep changing that until you're satisfied.
The thing is... you need to do that for every move.

Another thing, make sure you have no spaces in names, sometimes it make weird things happen.

Example of what you shouldn't do:

What about the changestates intended for the player? Post the code for those too.
Also, this is minor but I noticed you have skipped numbers in your triggers, like trigger1 > trigger2 > trigger4 (skipping trigger3). I don't remeber if this matters or not but... just saying. :P

If they have 3 cns files, you need to check all the 3 and find the [statedef -2] row. They can also be in a .st or .ai file. If you can't find it, the character probably doesn't have it, in this case you can create it in any .cns or .st or .ai file.

-2 is a state number. Sometimes characters don't have it but you can always create it. Usually it goes in the CNS but some creators also like to make separated files to put the -2 states, you need to find them. It says:

[Statedef -2]

You'll place the code below this line. As I said, if the character doesn't have it, you can create.
