I did noticed Iori's AI starts moving before the round starts. I assume this is what you mean by "The AI sometimes does funky stuff.", right?

Quick stealth update for M. Bison, adding compatibility with Karma's Iori update. PotS helped me with it, since it was acting hella funny when I tried to add it, making it not play against the Orochi and Claw modes.

Be alert that it may become obsolete if Karma decides to make a patch for him, keeping in mind that it's a fresh release as of posting this.

Got it working after help from the Discord.
I did notice Iori's flame swing FX is flipped, though. Haven't tested to see if this occurs with other Bisons.

A new release (or update in this case) is always appreciated from you.
Only nitpicks I've got so far is:
A. Saku Tsuma Kushi has rather quiet voices and lacks the roar in the MAX version.
B. the Heavy Punch Hitsound cutting off for the Grab Sound when he connects with Hozuki.

It's always nice to see a bit of diversity when it comes to the characters you edit. I love my CvS, but it's cool to see a change once in a while.

Since more moves is the idea here, I'd suggest giving him Kaze no Ken in some shape or form, perhaps as a counter like in  SF4 Omega Mode and SF5.

Is it okay to also suggest a more interesting Level 3 than a Raging Demon? I know it's tough to find another notable MAX move of his, but still.

Lastly, what's the general gameplay gonna be like? Since the supers seem MvC-like and pretty insane for Level 1 standards.

Hey again!
Update to say along with Special-to-Super Cancels, you can now do Normal-to-Rage Cancels, which will definitely lead to some real spice for certain characters.
With every bit of good, however, there's a bit of bad. Zero Counters are gonna be removed. This is mainly because A. They were mostly inconsistent, and B. I don't want many defence mechanics, since Parries are already a thing, and Rage Moves sorta count depending on their usage.

In-Game Movesets are also confirmed!


Sadly, I can't make guarantees that I'm gonna get the promised May release, so June is when you're likely to see it drop.

Exactly, yes. You are using different art style in the Screen BG, that´s why I recommend this image.

That's fair, but I was going for more of a variety pack with the chosen art, with good examples being the Nash sketch, Ken with Mel & Eliza, and the Alex Cooperation Cup art.

SF Duel art, I assume?
The issue with it is that I'd rather have art where the character's facing right and in an overly dramatic pose like this, since it's difficult to position and there's more going on to the left than right, which makes it a bit jarring when you flip it.
Or are you referring to the title screen BG?

I would've liked to see how you expand on that V-System, but I understand trying to get a consistent style of sorts.

Might I suggest CvS2 system sounds to go with the CvS2 effects this time? The SFV sounds don't really fit tbh.

Lastly, I'm getting nitpicky here, I'm not saying I'm tired of them, but I think it would be cool to diversify a bit and edge away from Shotos, since you've done plenty of updates and releases of previous Ryus and the odd Ken. I'm just eager to see how you handle other characters and archetypes with your style.

Nice to see you attend to most of my feedback, but upon checking the update I noticed some more things:

1. If you move at the right time, you can make the dust for his Taunt's stomp follow you before it disperses.

2. Air Kurekijin makes the opponent fall a bit too fast, which makes the juggle timing a bit too precise to me.
3. Metsu Ryusokyaku is half-fixed. You made it so you can't do it 3 times in a row, but you still can if you Super Cancel into each one (E.g. Super, then Hadouken into Super). The timing's precise, but I'm just warning you that it's there and possible.
4. Misogi doesn't have a land sound if it misses.

He's surely going places, but there's still a few things to nitpick and point out.

My nitpicks:
1. It's kinda cheap having his Overhead be cancellable, which isn't meant to be possible in source games.
2. I'd recommend removing the poweradd from the Throw attempt, since it can be used as a rather silly way to charge power.
3. Hadouken could use a bit more of a cancel window and a slightly longer hitpause, since the cancel timing's currently a little awkward.
4. The timing is tight, but you can essentially get an infinite with Heavy Ryusokyaku then HP and so on. I'd suggest adjusting the frame data to not allow that link.
5. I would suggest nerfing Metsu Ryusokyaku a bit so you can't use it more than once per combo for cheesy damage amounts.
6. Raging Demon's damage could be toned down a bit.

That's all I have ATM. He's got hella potential, but is a lil' uncomfortable in places.

I kinda miss the Sparks from the original. Very meaty, sharp and Street Fighter-ey. The current ones are a bit too CvS which I understand if you're making things consistent throughout your new chars, but I still miss 'em.

I also feel like he lacks the more interesting stuff like Senha Kassatsu and Sekieiken that helped make him more than just the typical shoto.
If you want more inspiration, a good idea for Metsu Ryusokyaku would be making it like OMEGA Evil Ryu's Ryukosai.
Additions like this could definitely help him stand out.

It's still nice to see you back.

Coming this May!


I'm in the midst of working on a 1 Year Anniversary update for the game!
In-case you're wondering, this is gonna be for the IKEMEN version.

The main gameplay change is the return of Special-to-Super cancels! This will definitely help with fighters' combability, maybe a bit too much, seeing that there have been some crazy (and sometimes hella damaging) combos discovered in the past, but I guess it will make things even crazier. It should also help fighters that weren't so up-to-par in the combo department.
Other changes to expect include misc. balance changes, visual improvements, and cleanups. In-Game Command Lists are also planned.
I'd also like to add a little bit of dialogue too...
