Block a whole site because you can't post a picture? Well that escalated quickly.

SCP-2137-2

The primary voice on the songs, from herein identified as SCP-2137-2, matches cleanly through advanced audio analysis to that of the real Tupac Shakur, who died in 1996, over a year before the recovery of SCP-2137.

However, occasionally, on crimes of a particularly complicated or brutal nature, SCP-2137-2 will be joined by other "performers," either guest-rapping or singing the chorus or bridge. This has included many of Tupac's contemporaries, such as Snoop Doggy Dogg, Nas, No Doubt, Everclear, Weezer and Busta Rhymes, as well as artists from the 2000s including Chris Brown, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, the Ying Yang Twins, Drake, Neon Trees, Jet, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Eminem, usually at the height of their popularity.

On a few notable occasions involving long-unsolved crimes by still active criminals, there have been guests of a more blatantly anachronistic nature, stand-outs among whom include Phil Harris, the Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, Buddy Holly, The Who, Elvis Presley, Diana Ross, and The Beatles. Heavily anachronistic guests tend to take the role of primary artist, the song performed in their style, with SCP-2137-2 joining as a rap guest.

When contacted, none of these artists had any recollection of recording for, or information regarding, SCP-2137.

I know how you feel m8. Trust yourself and the process, all good things take long times, it's easy to get caught up and forget that (hell, I feel like that too a lot of times).

You don't have to go full hardcore w/ your practicing of drawing fundamentals, try to moderate your practice and fun pixel time and at least ingrain the most important aspects of them (i.e. light always comes from one direction, stuff like that).

You'll save yourself a lot of agony and disappointment w/ moderation. : )

Well, the first problem is that you're sprite conveys no form or depth; it feels like a cardboard cut-out. Considering that you are trying to convey a 3D object (the human form) in a 2D static plane, this becomes pretty problematic pretty quickly. It's also aggrevated by the fact that the lighting is all over the place; it comes from the left on her torso, top-left on the right (viewer) arm, top center on her crown and hair, etc.

One very important aspect of light is that it travels in one direction in a straight line[/b]. The first thing you should figure out is where the light is coming from (the light source); in the case of the KOF XIII style, it comes from the top-right.

To illustrate the point further, I briefly did this:

Look at her head for this example; the light comes from one direction. The rest of it is pretty rough (I can't really do the entire thing bc reasons), but see how the form is properly conveyed when you keep the light to one direction (pun not intended)? Of course, there are still some things I can improve in my own rendition if I go further with it, but even at a rough point, the idea and forms give a good idea of how a KOF XIII-styled end product could look. (For the face, I referenced Kula Diamond and Yuri Sakazaki).

Other issues in your rendition include perspective and anatomy problems (i.e. she's missing her trapezius muscles, arms being a bit too big for her stature, etc.). Problems like that can be solved w/ reference usage and drawing practice. For the latter, you don't need to go too crazy with it, just enough to understand how things work. It reaps dividends when you want to animate and create pixel art from scratch.

You gotta think a bit more about your crouch frame's silhouette. It's important that an animation (or heck, even one drawing or sprite) communicates it's purpose and be as clear as it can possibly be, even if you reduce it to the most minute thing ever, whether you zoom out until it's tiny, or if it's completely colored in one tone. It becomes more important in pixel art and subsequently fighting games, where it needs to be made clear what's going on so you can make the right decision when it counts.

Here's something very rough I did to illustrate what I mean:

When I played around with the positioning of his arms and legs, it makes the pose more clearer and easier to understand.

Play Battleborn with us and you'll see its a far greater game qualitywise in almost everyway. MvcInfinite is even worse and it didn't deserve to go dead, we still have players.  I'm sure you included Oro in your MvC game hahaha
Just like nobody plays Mugen,.. Anyway that couldve been Gen or even Adon instead of Oro.

says nobody plays MUGEN... in a forum full of people that play MUGEN and create content for it...

Since you're going for a really simple sprite style as far as detailing goes, have you thought about using the black color more to imply depth? You could probably put it in key places like bends and creases in certain parts of an animation.

Yeah that's the first thing I tried and it doesn't look as good on Luffy

Maybe I'm over analyzing it, if you guys tell me it looks fine I will legit take your word for it

It's passable, it's not entirely great but it works. Or at least, that's what I think.

If anything, it's just his face in his idle frame that's getting me, the other animations might look better with the resize.
