tbh i hated the fuck out of how that game handled triad and police missions. it would've made more sense and made for a better game if the paths split off into two and allowed for more open-ended missions and multiple endings. the way the game does it causes wei to contradict himself like every other scene in the narrative.

I can't think of a screenpack I like more than Silver/Junior Chillage's SNK vs. Capcom: Mark of the Millennium screenpack.  In terms of functionality and detail no other screenpack has really surpassed it in my opinion. Screenpacks beyond this one may have more slots or more flair but the core simplicity and functionality is missing from the lot of them. I still use this screenpack as my default for 1.0.

man it would be interesting if she did a case-specific study based on genres, companies, etc instead of making broad sweeping statements about universal trends that have little relationship to one another(unless she's tying it into zeitgeist and how the media portrays women, how the era reflects gender roles etc). that'd be cooler than this video series which turns the topic into a game of by playing a game of "look at all these reductive stereotypes i can point out"

too bad it's her doing this study and not someone who actually knows something about the topic

Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall

still pretty much shits on any ES game every time i play it, morrowind being the close competitor

ADOM

i like the shift from nethack's focus which is a raw dungeon crawl. ADOM adds an open world aspect and a sense of exploration that makes it feel like a really organic roguelike. both are great though.

oh yeah and i'll probably try dragon's crown sometime soon i guess
