The numbers being quoted some places are off based on what I've been told, but the real story is that SFIV is not "selling well" but is in fact SOLD OUT in Japan.

There ARE no more copies to sell on the store shelves. I heard from Ono-san himself last night that Capcom has a few boxes left in the basement that they'll be sending out on Monday, but they were totally overwhelmed by the demand. Sales couldn't have been any higher because every single day-one copy in the stores was been sold (!!!)

PS- Big ups to everyone that came out to the mind-blowing party last night--more on that soon!

PPS- of course there are more copies in existence but it was very gratifying to hear the day one allotments were snapped up instantly."

no the neck isn't perfect, and that pose for the head is no comfortable
the face isn't ideal, big forehead and small hair area

First of all, taller forehead makes younger in age, more childish and innocent, kids have bigger foreheads than adults, thus making women usually appear more innocent.
The next thing is, the face is seperated in 3 parts plus hair region, part one is chin-nosebottom, part two is nosebottom-eyebrowtop, part three is eyebrowtop-hairstart, they are all equal in length, hair-region is about half the length of one of those parts, more or less (in real life).
In this case, her head is slightly nodded, so her hair area is longer than in a direct frontview of course.
Haha, but I know You always want proof: ::)

Some obvious flaws: Neck and torso are too long, The eyes are great, but the rest of the face makes her look less femenine (maybe it was intended that way?).

Why are they obvious?
-The neck is perfect, You can't even see where it ends, it's hidden under the clothing. ;)
-And the torso, starting from the chin-end to the bottomest end of the rib-cage is 2 head-lengths, and it's   like that here, so that's right too.
-The face looks very female to me, soft and round edges for the whole head-form, plus smooth lips, round/soft/small nose and thin eyebrows, it's ideal!
Maybe Your own taste is fooling You my friend. ;)

You should just take some more time for Your coloring, but Your drawing is good here! :)
(I personally just don't like the spiky simple drawing style You did the hair in, it doesn't look soft, but I think it's like that in the game too, not sure ;P)

Seems I've underestimated the difficulty of the process:



I've made no modifications to the frames I've previously posted, but critiques were absolutely right. Needs a lot of work on the hands, sandal straps -thank you, Drex, fixing that will improve the sprites in a 50%-, the white lines of the fan, and lastly the boobs (right now I don't even want to mess with that, 'cause I know I'll get obsessed about making them look great. I'm saving it for the last part). And of course the face, which is going to be remade when I'm done with the rest of the frames.

Not my greatest job, but I'm glad it's looking better than the ST HD sprites.[/butthurt]

Hey my bro, there are a few things I have to tell You too. ;)
First of all, Your coloring, dude, Your coloring, I am more than amazed, it looks absolutely great, just pro, it couldn´t look any better in that coloring style!
Now to the animation You have just posted, there´s two more things I can tell You on top of what the others said, is there a reason You did not animate her hair ribbon at all?
Right now it looks like a stiff piece of plastic wrapped around her hair tail. xD
Then, the boobs, it´s not too difficult to animate actually, it should be the simplest thing, it´s 2 semi-soft balls, a ball is the easiest and most basic thing to animate, when she goes up, just stretch her boob lines in her cleavage a little, don´t just let them go up straight and stiff the way they are drawn in the first frame, show there´s weight in them, they follow her body, and are pulled/stretched upward by it. :)

If You´re looking for some unbelievably fun Ko-Op Beat-Em´Up game, get Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks too, it doesn´t have those horribly clumsy controls of the other 3D MK games,  and it´s addictive teaming up with a friend there!

Also, omg, I would have LOVED to play Metal Wolf Chaos, "real" mech action game PLUS Otogi environment destruction engine = Heaven. ;D

EDIT: Alright, so I'm curious. I try loading sprites into this Easytoon, and I don't get anything but a blank white background. Am......I'm doing it wrong for that program?

Oh, haha, well I thought You were going to create (draw & animate) it fully Yourself, at the moment Easytoon just supports strict black&white pixel images in .gif format, no gray tones.
The guys who took over the programs development from the original japanese author, are working on a 255 colors support at the moment, but You can first expect to see it in about 6 months unfortunately. :-\

That's why I said, it's unbelievably amazing and helpful for animation, but for colors You should export Your animations created with it as .gif and put colour to them in an external program. ;)

Here's an example of a walk cycle I made with it a while ago (view in Mozilla Firefox please, as IE doesn't support 24fps. and will play at wrong speed):

Easytoon, best program for direct drawing->animation.
Allows for unlimited onion skinning, backward and forward (backward frame lines become blue, forward lines red).
You can also plan Your full animations in it, export as .gif and work on in Photoshop or any other program for colors. ;)

The one on top is the most recent.

You can change Your animation speed, by clicking on VIEW on the taskbar at the very top, then on animation properties.
The speed is the duration every frame is shown and it's written automatically in tenth miliseconds (usually 1000ms = 1s), so here 100ms = 1s, and if You enter 4 now, it will be 40ms for each frame, meaning the animation plays at 24fps. (like major Disney movies), 7 would be 70ms, and about 14fps. etc. ...

Alternatively You could also change every frames individual duration by changing the number next to Duration, in the top tool menu, for every single frame, which, of course, is more work, but maybe useful to You.

And please: "Kairi", You could play volleyball with Your opponent and go mad with supers LOL.
He´s so awesome!
Or Allen Snider LOL, his special grab is too cool, I think it was HCF, Back + Kick, hit opponent into the air, jump after, 3 kicks into the stomach (DA! DA! DAA!!) and bye bye!
And the stylish ways the characters got hit, I love that!

The only thing that makes Dan worth it in this game is the fact that they are less limited to Ken?Ryu's model.

He's a waste character but at least the humor value should go up significantly.

I'd still rather have a real fighter though.

Dan is awesome, he's loved to be used by pros, who seek for a challenge, because he's so weak!
Winning with him is like a humiliation to the opponent! :gorgeous:
