Arcade Mode is as good as the devs will let it be. If it's just eight fights, a boss and a final score, well that's just Time Attack with a different metric. If you go full ham with it though, bonus stages, midbosses, rivals with special intros, score-dependent secret bosses, fancy unique endings... hell, that can be better than some games' attempts at a Story mode.

Far as I'm concerned Arcade Mode should always have a home in a fighting game, so long as it's not completely half-assed. I for one like what SFV did with it as of the first big update, can't remember what they called it, with the themed arcade modes based on previous SF iterations. Sure, we're past the days that even Tekken do fancy FMV endings for everyone now, but even the single comic panel that SFV gave you was a neat enough reward for an arcade run.

Oh man, feels like ages since I've even heard the MvC Cammy voice. That'll take getting used to again.

I'm having some trouble getting Cannon Spike > Cannon Strike during Custom Combo. Was this just tightened up or removed entirely (did that fall under "dive kick while jumping back")?

The main thing I wanted to add was her Fuma Shuriken. I'm not sure how the rest like her Kunai ammo and Rokushaku Horokudama would work. I'd need sprites for them anyways.
Makes sense. Personally I'm not too keen on the ammo system either, but PotS' Lei-Lei has something that could show you how her bomb might work as a super. Other than that, the only other thing I'd think about is her glide, but that'd involve someone making new sprites.

Nice. It does feel odd going back to the 3S movelist after SFV.

There are some weird feeling moves, mostly just because that's how Infinite's original version worked too. Glad to see there are changes to Kasumigake in mind, for instance; not a fan of it just being her old DP punch flip, would be interested to see something like that new EX dash from SFV. What did you have in mind when you said "more SFV moves"?

Someone else made the SFIV soundpack and I included it inside the character as an option because why not.
I think it was me..? I know I'd ripped the voice files for SFIV, and I'd converted a couple of characters' worth, just can't remember if Guile was one of them. I know for sure I'd done Cammy for PotS.

Karin looks hunky dory aside from her 270K having this weird looking interaction with your Ryu, could be just CVS2 sprites not working well with Alpha.

Solid stuff. I've been out of the scene for a while, but I remember someone working on a CPS2 Ryu ages ago, framing it as a KOF-style Another Ryu. Was that you?

Also this is kind of a petty fix, but the readme currently has Evil Ryu's Shakunetsu as a QCF instead of a QCB.

Got Jeanne too. Now in two minds as to whether I should roll for Dantes now or save it to make sure I get Waver in the F/Z event coming up.
Ended up rolling for Dantes... and getting Waver. Guessed that's my last big missing servant out of the way.

Today's BTE episode definitely suggested Kenny's going to AEW. They'll also be streaming the rally Cody and the Bucks are holding tomorrow for Double Or Nothing. I imagine we'll learn more about Kenny's future then.

Nor will we see most characters post-SC since they will still be kids.
Not so sure about all that. We can date all the games in the series by Soul Calibur 2, set in 1591. SC3 and SC4 are within months of that. The original Soul Calibur was in 1587, and Soul Edge three years before that in 1584. The only really huge timeskip is Soul Calibur V, which is seventeen years after SC2/3/4 in 1607.

So if we're assuming the new game is set in 1587, let's say if you were at least 18 by SC2/3/4, you're in with a chance of making the cut. While the younger Soul Calibur V characters are definitely out of the picture, this doesn't automatically count out Raphael (28 years old during SC1), Astaroth (wouldn't really matter how old he is), Cassandra (17, young but there have been younger), Yunseong (14, very young but not beyond the realm of possibility for a boy), Zasalamel (reincarnation nonsense), Setsuka (20) and possibly ZWEI depending on how old he is. Only ones I'd rule out from 234 would be Talim and Tira.

Australia could beat South Korea so Mexico shouldn't have any trouble, and you can at least hope for a decent match against Sweden. Australia's going out 0-3 guaranteed.
