I'll be dropping this in less than a week:

Because of the short notice I won't expect that many palettes, but I'll leave the template here anyway:

I had a thought coming to my mind while looking at my folder of sprites and seeing this two:

now, both have actual CVS chars using their sprites from real bout and kof respectively, so I was wonder, it is whortless to make a spritesheet of them with those desings?
It wouldn't be worthless at all, RBFF is just not the same. I'd be inclined to say that Hon Fu is the superior pick because I love Jackie Chan but 13 Billy would be amazing too.

Hey guys. Bumping to say that Lurker is helping out with Akegarasu's Attack animation

Thank you so much ;D

Hey guys, what's up?

I usually try not to do this sort of request, or at least I don't do this with these many animations, but I think this time is worth it.

I'm 4-5 animations away of a fully fledged Flameless/Claw Mode for Iori. Other spriters like Rabano and SeanAltly helped me out with the animations for 104 Shiki: Nueuchi, 401 Shiki: Shōgetsu, and the run part of 129 Shiki: Akegarasu, as you can see below:

However, I'm still missing a bit more in order to get him done. The 5 missing animations would add a lot of flavor and uniqueness, but not all of them share the same level of priority, so I'll detail what the move adds to the table below every rsspective spoiler.

Requestor: KarmaCharmeleon
Character/Game: Iori from CvS2
Evidence of progress:
https://mugenguild.com/forum/msg.2543205
But also:
https://streamable.com/pfeaeo
https://streamable.com/6uimwl
https://streamable.com/nm43rm

Requests:
Spoiler: 129 Shiki Akegarasu (Attack) (click to see content)
This one is the one I'd want the most not only because is the last indispensable Claw move, but also because it enables Ura 1018 Shiki: Ya Shiori for EX Iori, a mode based off KoF XV:
https://streamable.com/olynws

Lurker is taking care of this one  ;D

Spoiler: 203 Shiki: Tsuchitsubaki (Attempt and Success) (click to see content)
These two animations are really cool as they would allow Iori to have his last Special Move and his signature command grab. However, I could indeed make Iori share his original Kuzukaze command grab and don't stress that much about it, since in that animation he doesn't use flames and it still serves the purpose of enabling a combo follow up (altho the ground bounce of Claw's Command grab let's him so extra juggles with Nueuchi).

Spoiler: Ge-Shiki: Kui (click to see content)
This is Iori's exclusive command normal. I'd say this one has the lowest priority because altho significantly slower, Ge-Shiki: Gofun In "Shinigami" can fill the function of a command normal.

Spoiler: Kin 1218 Shiki: Yatagarasu (click to see content)
Altho I feel it's possible to recreate this move with a brand new animation, not only it would be cool to have its fluid motion entirely, but also it would allow me to give EX Iori (then again, a mode based off XV) his new Hozuki climax:

I'd like to say that if just a single one of these following animations can be made into a reality, I'd be already be super thankful :) I know I'm asking for too much and I understand that after my long absence is weird for me to pop up asking for custom animations, but I honestly feel that the potential of this mode is amazing and I've been showing progress consistently thru discord across the past two months. I think that most of the active Discord users can attend to that.

Cya.

It's been a while isn't it? This is no news for people active in Discord, but recently I've been using my free time on reworking one of my first releases: Iori.
Iori is a character that I made on a time I barely knew what I was doing. Ever since then I learned a lot regarding coding, KoF, and the direction I want to take with my characters in general. Because of this, my idea was to leave my previous Iori behind and start from 'scratch'. I think I've been successful, as Iori now feels like will likely be my best creation ever.

I'l leave you guys with some clips:

Special Intro v/s Ash Crimson
https://streamable.com/15yv2p

Saika's Followup
https://streamable.com/awelbz

Chi no Boso
https://streamable.com/p71ogd

Sanjingi no Ni
https://streamable.com/lajdp4

BnB + Setplay
https://streamable.com/z4kgfc

CounterHit Combo
https://streamable.com/ckclly

what I dubbed the 'Project.13 combo' because he came out with the idea
https://streamable.com/jhmd2y

Iori is planned to have the three modes he had originally, altho with changes in all three. Iori is also planned to have a Claw Mode based off his Flameless Appearance in KoF 13.

As of now, Normal/Base Iori is nearly completed, only missing lv.2 non-followup Saika. Orochi Iori is entirely finished, only missing some visuals. EX Iori hasn't been started but it won't take much time, considering these are the only differences the mode have over Base Iori:
Code:
; Different EX Yami Barai.
; Different EX Oniyaki.
; Slightly Different Ya Otome animation.
; Different MAX Ya Otome Finisher.
; Trades Ya Sakazuki for Saku Tsumagushi.
; Trades non-followup Saika for Yamisogi.
; Trades Chi no Boso for Homuraotogi.
At the moment I'm trying my best to frankensprite a new animation for Yamisogi:

I expect to finish EX Iori by the end of the month. I also need to fix some stuff with his color separation. Claw Iori still needs animations for the attack part of Akegarasu, the command grab, and his command overhead, so I doubt that mode will be ready any time soon. However, expect a provisional release by the end of the month.

You need to increase the character's width in the constants

Code:
ground.back = 19
ground.front = 19
you want to increase ground.front from whatever value is currently

Oh thanks you a lot, that will help me a ton. I was also wondering if you can do the same with SF IV animations for a future project, but its okay if you can't.
Definitely doable, I ripped this in the past:

Thanks you so much, I promise to make some animations for her, not sure to do a full character though.

Btw, just a simple animation of a CVS version of Billy Kane, Im a fan of his OG/XIII Outfit to be honest.

One of the best XIII->CvS convertions I've ever seen. Nice job.

Great job on Big Bear too.

My only gripe with this team is... why Darli?
She is still top 3 in terms of playrate and got even got first on an online popularity poll from back when the game was fresh. For the people that do play SamSho she is really popular, for the people that don't play SamSho it's a nice way to introduce them to Darli and promote the game she comes from (the whole point of this team btw).

Hey Ben, what's up?

First and foremost I'd like to let you know that we won Character of the Month back in April:
https://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/character-month-march-2022-voting-195828.0.html
Not sure if you were aware of it but if not I think it's really cool that the community recognized your efforts thru that contest ;D

Secondly, I'm glad your not stopping with Gouken! Even tho his spriteset is way beyond functional now, I appreciate when artists want to go back and improve upon what is already good.

Thirdly, around two months ago while DMing with Potemkill, he was kind enough to test Gouken, point out a mistake on his shirt, and fix that mistake himself :tearsofjoy:

Fourthly, I've been improving my game when it comes to ripping animations from certain games. I'm far from having something 100% functional but spriters like Potemkill, sabockee or FeLo have said that these helps as base. I ripped these from USF4 Gouken just as an example:
Spoiler: Draw, Win 3, Win 4 (click to see content)
But if you ever want a reference from there, just hit me up.

Finally, I really hope you can go back and give Gouken a roll fwd, a fall recovery/tech roll, and a guard crush animation :jackie: i think those 3 anims (and maybe a Trip anim) are the only thing missing for him to legit have every single animation he would if he was in CvS2

Glad to see you back after your well deserved break

I know you ain't forgot about Buckus's Dudley  :P :sugoi:
You could use the running animation he made. It's open source, but he 'downshaded' it to 16 colour limit to give Dudley a CVS look.
https://mugenguild.com/forum/msg.1333976
I understand if you'd pass on it since the sudden colour loss does stick out a bit when he transitions from his stance animation to running then back again.
Maybe the regulars over at the spriters' bounty could touch it up a bit if it catches your interest.
I was not aware of Buckus' Dudley having a run! That will definitely come handy. I'll give it a try to adapt the sprites myself and maybe ask for some help. Thank you so much!!
I was thinking about trying my hand at Dudley at one point or another. I love to see your take on him!
It makes sense to use the SF3 sprites as the CvS edits didn't have his cars or his butler.
Speaking of his cars, didn't he have two of them in SF3? I know the one he got back from Gill, but there's another in a special intro against oddly enough himself.
He indeed has two cars! And in the .sff I made the second car shares color with the first. I'm aware he his car is green but hopefully that's addressed with different palettes having different car colors ;D
Oh, I see...
Too bad. I really think the run anim is needed.
Perhaps someone with SF3 sprite skills can scale up then convert colors into SF3 style (from the CVS-like existing one)
Hopefully!
Looks like Mario to me.
Yeah, he kinda does, though used this image as reference
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

Actually made 2 more palettes, 'coz why not? Dudley's a fun char, I'd enjoy playing as him, more color variants won't hurt
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
Sheeesh! I'm a big fan of Ippo and I loved Vanessa's palette! Thank you so much.
I hope this palette isn't too close to his SF3, but here's his SF4 look.

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

The others colors from there are coming.

Edit: I just realized his teeth share the colors of the shine of his shoes.
Yum, that palette is sick! Really good color choices. Yeah no color separation for this one hehehe.

EDIT: Preliminary Run by Buckus adapted to SF3 Dudley in terms of scale and palette:
