I think the angle of the leg can still be used. It's the foot that can be adjusted. I'm not the greatest spriter here, but I have learned that the foot can be broken down to wedge shapes for poses like that.
Here's how I would handle the foot, personally. There's some other stuff that could be improved on as well. The overall muscle anatomy is wonky. The shading of the bicep on our left makes it look longer than it's supposed to be. The torso feels flabby due to the linework and its width. Overall, it's great to see you're trying and and open to feedback. Keep up the good work!
EDIT: Also, I can give an example for clothing folds if you want.
