You need to apply the varset in the state where the transformation sequence occurs. If it's something passive, you will need to instead define the conditions in statedef -2/-3 for the varset, which is a little trickier to do without experience in using variables.

Made small gameplay and aesthetic updates for Eri.

- Corrected hitspark timing in certain moves desynchronizing 1 frame too late.
- Corrected cornerpush on Bead Smash pushing too far.

If anything, China is the biggest victim here because of corruption within the government and portions of the wealthy elite that inhabit the country screwing them over. So, yeah, it is fairly xenophobic to pin the cause on them collectively.

Quick update due to a minor mathematical typo that leads to an otherwise huge consequence.

- Corrected error in cornerpush that makes it eventually reverse instead of increase.

In the case of my country, a lot of this could have been prevented if we had a more competent President for this country. Trump had months of warning in advance of an impeding disease before it ever broke news and he treated the whole notion as light jest. Then, when the problem does make an arrival here, he still is taking this lightly and that's why we have bullshit like panic buyings, riots and xenophobia running amok. I think that is part of the reason why I am angry about this whole thing.

Incompetence of the government and the fear-mongering caused by media misinformation making the problem worse than it already is.

Honestly, Benjamin Franklin must be rolling in his grave with how far the USA's politics have degenerated.

Thanks to Inkrebuchet, I've found a solution to universalize hit friction against targets regardless of their friction constant. If you've noticed how grounded combos would fail against specific characters who are rather slippery (i.e.: sudara13's characters), it's likely their friction value and this solves that problem now.

All Generation 1 characters:

- Fixed issue in which all sounds would cut off if canceled into supers from multi-hit moves.
- Removed instant air dashing to avoid accidental inputs.
- Corrected hitfall FX error.
- Reassigned some archetypes according to optimization findings.
- Revised Guard Crush formula.
- Revised cornerpush formula to follow according to hitstun decay timer.
- Added custom hit friction, now allowing grounded combos to work on slippery characters.

Touhou Project:

- Simplified Brave Guard.

Melty Blood:

- Shield can now be held at cost of power.
- Power gain from shielding now scales based on Heat gauge.

Haruhi Suzumiya:

-Increased duration of Itsuki by 50%.

Miyako Arima:

- Crouching Light now OTGs.
- Completely overhauled AI.

Akari Ichijou:

- Reduced Hagure Hitogata's life to 200.
- Corrected error in which invulnerability did not trigger in pre-pillar frames of Harai Tenku.
- Damage for Shikigami Hyakkiyakou increased.
- Tweaked AI.
- Whiffed air throw has a hitbox on the way down instead of only when hitting the ground and has a faster descent.

Eri Hasumi:

- Increased guard damage for Power Style normals.
- Slightly increased leniency for Deflect.
- Tweaked AI.
- Corrected read me error for Stinger Rush's command.
- Corrected certain hitsparks not appearing during P2 KO.
- Corrected afterimage error for Supersoldier Strength during custom states.
- Added custom hit friction, now allowing grounded combos to work on slippery characters.

Nice, the solution is a lot simpler with PotS style cornerpush. You are right in regards to it not being 100% accurate, but the result is around 2 pixels off at worst and 0.3 pixels off at best, which isn't really so bad tbh. Since I strive more for function over accuracy, this does the job well enough for me.

Thanks for the cooperation, this has been something that bugged me for a few months now.

I've been waiting for this one and was curious how MUGEN handles hitsliding mathematically, but I do have a question. Suppose I don't use Vans' cornerpush system and use Phantom.of.the.Server's cornerpush system. Seeing as it doesn't use a slidetime-based timer, how would it be handled differently in that regard? To give an idea how his cornerpush code looks like, I'll post the code below that originally came from PotS' thread instead of the modified version I use so the solution can be shared with more people.

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

Edit: Tried it for myself using PotS' cornerpush system and the friction cancel actually has no impact on it. I suspect the reason why is because PotS doesn't rely on slidetime, which is likely what made a world of difference here.

Yeah, I should be fine, most of my stress is in the form of anger and resent due to being victim to others' irrationality, but I'm good. Thanks for the consideration.

A more positive and related note, I've managed to finish Neptune's level 3 super.

 While this has already been done about a week back, it's still important that I show off her Elemental Disk system that serves as Neptune's Unique Ability. With the selection of Fire, Ice, Earth and Wind, Neptune's specials will have their properties altered to expand her game plan. Certain specials, when they hit, will bind the current element on the target for a short while. When bound by an element, P2 gains a weakness to Neptune's elements as accordingly;

- fire > ice
- ice > wind
- wind > earth
- earth > fire

After a week of offline stress, I'm getting back to working on Nep again. Here are two of her intros that I've done for her. She has a special one, but that's something I'll reveal later when I get it down since it's very time sensitive.

I think it's less they don't give a damn and more that overreaction causes more harm than good. People cramming stores in a race to stockpile goods has massive repercussions and isn't nearly as wise a strategy as it seems on the surface; you create a breeding grounds for disease to spread more easily (you can't say cramming indoor areas is not a health hazard... it absolutely is), you're not leaving anything else for others (every man for themselves in play here) and massive economic backlash in the aftermath of the epidemic. Not to mention, in a realistic apocalyptic scenario, stockpilers are going to be painted as the biggest target for raids. I think less panicking and more actual helping out should be priority, because the former is really selfish when you think about it. I'm currently working with the local Catholic church I go to every now and then just to do that even if it's only 2 hours a week and I say this as an atheist instead of selfishly stockpiling (ironically, no reports of the disease have entered my town yet).

We need more of THIS: https://twitter.com/dairyorange/status/1238965825182236672?s=09

 And less of this: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/519393657900630016/688858479770861721/Screenshot_20200315-052405.png

Next time, don't assume people don't actually give a damn so much as us being frustrated at irrational harm that fear-mongering has lead to. It's ignorant and demeaning.

I mean, that is still small change compared to over 60% of Europe literally gone in less than a decade, even with comparing hundreds a day being factored in.

Not saying it isn't tragic and alarming, but I do think it's being overblown to the point that it's causing more harm than good at times.

I personally think people are overreacting. Sure, it has victimized a large number of people, but the media is overhyping it to being the next Black Plague. Thousands is nothing compared to the dozens of millions who died to the latter. Also, my mother asked me to lend her $3,000 last week to stock up, but I flatly said no because that's like a month and a half of my work wages being blown over overhyped bullshit.

Either way, being the quiet city with a relatively small population that is Erie, Pennsylvania... the worst that happened here are face masks being out of stock.
