got it all figured out, thanks! forgot about that mugen1 folder in the data folder

I just got back into MUGEN, actually used to be on this forum a lot before High school had ended, so I need my memory refreshed.

I tried to add music to my default mugen w/kfm.
no music is playing, I know I need to download the right plugin tho for my music to be playing.
where is a list of working plugins that work so my music will play on startup screen, char screen, and on stages?

or what are some working plugins I can search to download?

I am on a new windows 10 laptop. the default hit sounds and jingles play already, now I just need my music to play

Seriously.

Anyways good to be back, before I left the community, I was working with some guys learning how to rip sprites for a character project, but this was maybe in 2009.

Apparently a lot has changed with MUGEN since then!!!

All I need to get familiar with MUGEN again is---  :help: :help: :help:
-the most recently updated standard download( whatever the original MUGEN is)
-The most recently updated HD MUGEN download

And i need to know will they both work on Windows XP, and Windows 8?

So if someone could link me to those, that would be great.

Now ima go check out the important topics in this forum and see what I need to catch up on ;)
    

Regarding Configuration, is 1.0 different from the older mugen?

The way i would change the settings and options, add characters, music, music to stages, is all that the same as the old mugen, or has it changed since the new 1.0 has been released?

then what is used to make chars for 1.0? around the time it came out, i heard you couldnt use ff for char making.

The problem may be whatever stage/character/etc you put into mugen may be causing it to freeze or crash.

when it crashes, what error do you get? or do u get that report a problem error?

and what version of mugen are you running?

I feel stupid cuz idk what a trigger is -.-
All I did was make a few palletes! I quit mugen about a year and a half ago cuz I had to factory reset my computer. But I'm attempting to "come back" now.

So what is this trigger you speak of? :p
