- Unless I misunderstand, I only increased the sprites by 20% using scalestart. The actual sprite size hasn't been changed.
The stage in its native resolution would look like this:

It would just be optimization.

-Ogg is cool. Just use a converter. Much like Momotaro can make the changes themselves...
Indeed. That's why I shared in my post a link to a good online converter with the music already uploaded (expired by time).

-I sometimes get that black border in my screenshots but I don't see in in gameplay
It depends on who's playing style, whether someone uses or fights a zoner, the black border is recurring.

-I get that. Make the stage adding fool proof. But few people use anything other than that. I guess some put stages and sounds into one folder. That might be you, consideing you yourself are a content creator, iirc. (You're the Rurouni Kenshin guy right?)
I put the songs in the sound folder. I used to use "spr=stages/" too. It was never a problem until I decided to organize the stages into subfolders by game or creator. And, yes I am the "Ruroken" guy.

-I didn't want superjump. This stage was with CVS characters in mind I suppose. But using the zoom settings you suggested negates this. I definitely like those so I'll be applying them.
True. Using the Beterhans method, some further modifications are necessary. Boundhigh would be -18.

It's a shame that not all of Waneella's stages are shared in a way that we can use them. Great art.

The screenshot is literally below the explanation of how to get the result shown.

I missed some points in my previous post.
- Since zooming is enabled, as shown in the screenshot you posted there's a black border at the bottom - it needs some spriting.
- Don't use delta zoom for elements that are at the same distance as the characters (floor). Zoomdelta below 1 decreases the effect of zoom on the element it is applied to and makes the characters axis "slip" when zoom is activated.
- Do not use spr = stages/. Just let spr = stage.sff. As it stands, if the stage is moved to a subfolder, the stage will throw an error.
- You could have used "boundhigh =-80" to allow jump to the stage.
- "bgmvolume takes a parameter of 100 for 100%".

Waneella's art is just amazing. Anyway, let's get to the feedback.

- Why are the sprites resized by 300%? It's not necessary, just use the sprites in their native resolution and localcoord = 320,180.

- Since you're aiming for 16:9, I recommend using zoomin and zoomout at 0.75.
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
As you can see, using the zoom values mentioned above, the stage is at the level of what Beterhans calls the "True Widescreen Stage", although it loses the "zoom effect" and needs some spriting at the bottom, which isn't difficult considering the minimalist style and it's just a piece of asphalt.

- The way scaledelta is used is not very effective, with everything on the same layer there is no sense of depth. Ideally some elements would be separated to use this feature, or the easiest way would be to keep things flat which would work too.

- About the music, have you considered using the ogg format? A few mp3 songs is no problem, but keeping a folder with 50,100 or more mp3 files... In that case there is a difference. I uploaded the song earlier today to a site where I do conversions and the song was about 55% the size of its mp3 version. The link, if you are interested:

"Gotenks Scribble" situation

I wanted to add compatibility with the "Gotenks Scribble" cinematic to a char. However that character uses xscale and yscale to be resized. The problem is that the board sprite is also affected by the scale in the CNS.
Using Goku as an example:

Code:
xscale           = 0.96
yscale           = 1.02

The board below is used as a "base" by Gotenks for characters that don't have the compatibility animation (I suppose), and the board above with Goku's drawing is affected by the code.
I downloaded both Goku and Gotenks from Balthazar's website to use outside of the full game. Is there anything I can do to get around this situation?

Oh! I didn't see your reply before. Although I think I saw that post at some point, I'm lazy. :tough:
The problem with the code you provided occurs when there are custom states - them throws "Ù,u.

I tested it with Zico first, because with Sagat it involves a lot of spriting work.
But I'll try that later and post the result. Thank you for your consideration.

Edit: I tried. In the first frame when grabbed, the character changes palette and there are inconsistencies during the animation. So while there is a way to get this to work properly, it turns out it's not that simple. Probably adding some more code, but I'm not capable to comment.

I've yet to take the time to play it, but the little I've tested it, it feels a lot more dynamic than an older version I had tried. I'm sure I'll have a good time. Anyway, since I don't have anything to report yet, I'd like to at least suggest some subtle changes regarding the timer and lifebar names:

I edited some numbers from the timer font, so they will always be centered. If this interests you, here is the link to the files:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/my0addslryq89c9/timeup.7z/file

I also fixed the timer priority:
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

I also suggest that the data files have their own subfolder, instead of occupying the root folder and replacing the original files. This is and old Elecbyte advice that I made sure to ignore until I started using IKEMEN and found out they were right about it all along. Even if you don't intend to switch engines now, you never know.
Keep rocking.

DS, you beautiful soul!  :D
It worked. It's really cool and makes me want to waste time using it with characters with simpler asymmetrical designs like Rugal or Heidern.
Anyway, thank you very much.

Well, I've had this idea for a while... which is to do a "3D" Sagat, something more like Gill from SF3. Basically, the goal would be through color separation to make Sagat's sprites asymmetrical when changing sides. Like this:

Source pals being:
1,1
1,2
...

and dest ones:
2,1
2,2
...

Since I have zero knowledge of chars code, would this be solved with simple code? Or is it something advanced? It's DivineWolf's Sagat, btw.

Yes there is, In Statedef -2.cns You'll find the states used to make Inuyasha Self KO himself, as well as force his Ctrl to 0.
and in State 190 in Basic.cns, you'll find the Intro Triggers for it. You can either set the states to null, or remove them
Thank you.

-Special Kagome Intro, following the Anime, and Manga, Inuyasha promises to protect Kagome at all costs, If you try to have him fight Kagome, he will K.O. himself instead at Round Start.
Is there any setting to disable this?

Which character has some sort of reverse Midnight Bliss? I've seen a Morrigan with such sprites and I've read about it some time ago. So I would like to know which character has this attack. Thanks.

I'm looking for this animation in better quality. The gif is in 2x, it comes from here.
Version 1.0 of that screenpack is lost for the public, so I would appreciate it if it were possible for me to get at least this animation in 640x480 (native).
