Looks like his palette selection is going to be severely limited to what we currently have.

However, i am somewhat anxious to see how his gameplay would be, comparing to Jotaro's. I believe he'll come out allright.

Did you update the .def file to use the hard version? Just double checked against VS Debuts Deadpool and he absolutely bodied him. However, your reply brings something to my attention, and that is that I've used the Mugen 1.0 AI activation method that is not reflected in the respective .def files. I will have to update the files. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It would probably mean that i placed the hard version in using def file to modify it to mechgouki_hard.cmd, to replace the original. However, after selecting him, it just crashes on me.

I've attempted put the hard version for Mech Gouki's folder, as i still have him throughout the years, but it still feels the same in terms of AI. Unsure that he feels any different at all.
I don't know if i'm doing it wrong or not, but he remains the same as always.

Since Jedah won the poll, this may actually end up being one of the most wanted character to have POTS gameplay on my list. Do what you gotta do, Karma.
This would be discussed more in terms of his AI, but i am happy as hell that he's being worked on.

A vast improvement over your 5-year-old sprite, and i definitely like that, though the face is still bothering me for some reason, and i can't seem to place my finger why is that.
The finger positioning is kind of weird if you look close enough, though i can't tell if it's design's choice, but ehh...
The details on the metal arms (and the legs no less) was a absolute necessity and the flaming pattern on the ripped pants is also important.
I seriously think you have overhauled Asura's sprite, save for the face and the finger positioning. You done a fantastic job on him. :)

Well I'm glad that his knees move that's very important, I hate seeing legs that just contract like there's a piston in it.
He could examine Victor's animation from Darkstalkers to see how they handle the action of stationary breathing.
The way the shoulders move.
How the head would rest on the neck.
Also some slight movement of the hair at the edges to give the hair some inertia would help bring him alive as well.
Idle animations like stances and walks are crucial and should receive a lot of attention.
They convey the personality of the character.
Btw the bit of clothing hanging on the back of Asura, it should stay stuck to the leg at the bottom and bend the higher it goes.
Right now that golden bit of clothing in back looks like it's a plastic shell. It just needs to behave more like cloth and it'll be fine.
I strongly suggest that he take a look at Ryo Sakazaki's sprites from Capcom vs Snk for the hair.
They have similar hair styles.
He could take a look at it for shading references.

Ahhhh, my old, favorite villain from SG. He's vastly different of what i'm looking at. I have... had originally saved this old one in my computer before you "stupidly saved it" over a dark green, and it's still in my hard drive.
Still, even with the new, improved version of him, i'm glad you're taking another shot at Bilstein, and i am already liking it very much. The amount of attention to detail demanded quite a lot to put every single one of them, especially the armor. Thumbs up for that, apathy. :)

Tay is correct. You can fix that for this character by opening him in fighterfactory and saving the sff as 1.0.

Ok, that works, ink. I would mark this as resolved, but not yet. The palette selector, like the rest of Infinite/Caesar's characters, work, except for some reason, the 2nd & other rounds allows you to select the palette. That never happens on any characters after selecting the palette in the 1st round. Can that be adjusted? Thanks.

I noticed in the image you posted extensions are hidden on some files. Is it possible that the file is named something like Wolverine.sff.sff?

If not, post the download and I'll check it out when I get a chance.

Oof, it seems that you may be right. But i have no idea where to look for Wolverine.sff.sff, as that may not actually exist unless i'm wrong about it

EDIT: I just realized that the palette selector on original Wolverine by Froz don't actually exist, which only works on 1.0, but the palette selector that's done by WBPA with 1.1 version? That's just... weird.

What version of MUGEN are you using? My bet is that the char uses (for example) 1.1 sff and you're trying to load it on 1.0 or older.

This or the sff is corrupted, maybe downloading the char again could work if that's the case.

The version i'm using is 1.0.

I don't know if it's corrupted, but i will try to download the char again.

Quick EDIT: Even downloading the char again did not seem to work. Other options?

Ok, for some reason, whenever i select Wolverine made by Froz, edited by WBPA, which i recently got, it gives me this specific error:



Does anyone have an idea how to fix that?

Just came across one specific bug: Magneto's invulnerable to Dormammu's Purification (pillar) the exact moment that Magneto does EM Disruptor at the same time. Just performed it on AI watch on my end. This only happens at a specific moment. May possibly have other characters that are affected by that. Should be looked into it.

Damn that's not bad at all. If the sprites were CVS Style I'd probably go ahead and make a pots/infinite style

If only. Though i'd probably would want that to happen, i can't say for certain.

Maybe when that author decides to do Fox McCloud in his free time, i think i would potentially have him in my roster, but as it stands, i don't know. I wouldn't give my hopes up.

Also, in terms of AI, it is sluggish and not doing well, but with the AI patch, i think he does this more defensive move than being offensive. Kinda disappointed, to be honest, but hey, i think he has some potential.

I'll add my brief speech and i'll be absolutely honest: Leroy Smith gets a golden, seal of approval from me, as he's one of a few, original, black characters that the devs came up with.

I was looking through IMDb, and holy crud, that was no bueno. That was due to complicated Pneumonia, and that's really sad.

The only 2 quotes that i can think of, which is a funny insult, coming out of his mouth in Full Metal Jacket:
