You have to redownload the system.def files. Also honestly the lifebars are fine right now, if you want to disable the faces just uncomment these lines

thanks for the tip, it worked 
btw how do you remove the animated sprite of the characters in the select screen? just wanted to retain the old school vibe of only using the big portrait

i also think the earth animation is too large in 1920x1080p it's blocking the characters

I've done lifebars, now it's time for screenpacks. Originally done by InfantryDoubleZero.exe. Lemme know if I missed anything.
UPDATE: Added a face to the bars and a flashing power meter. And updated the Continue Screen and added a Hiscore menu to the screenpack.

seems the cpu level still overlaps with the score for the 2nd player, single mode, team arcade single mode, simul mode 1920x1080p
