I just want to point out that on P1’s side of the character select screen says “Japan: Country”, “37: Age” etc, whereas it reads the correct way around on P2’s side. Is that something that’s going to be fixed later on? Because it’s really distracting me 
.
Aside from that, looking pretty dope! Hoping to see more progress soon 
That will all be part of the character portraits so I can fix it pretty easily, Mordecool is providing me with a portrait template for when the final art is completed.
Looking really legit, I like the design. Simple and yet cool, keep up the hard work. If you need beta testers, hit me up. I’m old school and will keep it, clean and honest.
Definitely, I was just about to post a thread asking for help beta testing!

Progress video!
From the description:
Here's a little progress video for the next character for Last Bout, Quavon Cannon. He has a manager who appears in his intro and one of his win poses named Mr. Oh. No voice acting yet, as usual, so still Ryu's since that's what my template starts with. Quavon is one of two pro wrestlers in the game, and is a young up-and-coming superstar (the opposite of his rival, the aging Japanese legend Sasuke Saito). He has no big super yet (called Maximum Over Drives in this game), but he does have his Offense Drive (The Amityville Horror) and his Defense Drive (the anti-air super House of Pain). His main grab special lets you move around a bit and perform a handful of actions, but after a set amount of time or actions, the opponent will escape unless you do the Death Valley Driver to end it. As usual, lots of stuff still to work out and some bugs here and there, just wanted to show off progress.

Looking for help, does anyone know of any characters that already exist for Mugen that have a kick animation that resembles Kofi Kingston's Trouble in Paradise finisher from WWE? It's just easier for me if I have a 2-D base to draw from or over. Here's a vid of this move for anyone unfamiliar with the move:

That shoulder animation was actually the hardest. It's based on Alex's anim from SF3, but since they are wildly different sizes and proportions, I had to just draw my frames side by side until they looked right.
Fun fact: That enziguri animation from above is actually a couple of frames from Clark, Joe Higashi, and Ramon all blended into one animation, lol

Info: I am looking for someone to take this static sprite of my current WIP and animate it. I've never been good with subtle, sub-pixel type stuff, and that's what I'm looking for here, just some breathing and a little up and down movement. Here's the sprite with the color separation I'm using:

Oh yeah, the pink/black/Canada stuff is def inspired by the Hart family. The rest of his design is a little Kofi Kingston, a little Xavier Woods, and a little Daniel Bryan.

That's a good point, I spend so much time copying and pasting heads that I forget that hair moves sometimes. When I go back and add in the tattoo I will add that as well. Right now I'm making the sprites, and then going ahead and making the head swap for every animation.

A mix of both, I'm about to put up the planned movelists for both wrestlers to give folks an idea of how they'll be different despite being head swaps.

So I haven't thought much about stages yet, as I'm focusing all of my efforts right now on sprites. However, I am looking forward to being able to include more diverse stages in this game since I've spent all three SHADEs games being boxed into stages that are in NYC.
Since this game is being made for Mugen 1.1 (Mordecool only does screenpacks for Ikemen and 1.1), I was wondering if any seasoned stage creators/editors would like to help me with this games stages since I haven't really taken the time to learn how to make stages for 1.1? I have a general idea of the theme of the stages, and I only need 10 total (plus a training stage if possible).
I do not need completely original stages. This is a Mugen game after all. I am fine with nice looking edits of location-specific stages from other games as long as the art style is consistent.
Please let me know if you would like to help me out with this! Thanks!

What exactly does M.G.K stand for? My guess is Machine Gun Knee, assuming the K is Knee.
This is correct, and also a little nod to MGK because Tristan seems like the type of guy who would be a fan (I'm not a fan of him but I'm not knocking him either, before anyone takes that as an insult).

It does seem like he's the main focus of the story, but he's really just supposed to be a Bison/Rugal type figure. I'd consider it more of an ensemble, but if I had to choose Ryu/Ken/Chun Li types, I'd say Tristan, Bryce and Vidael are the leads/main characters.

GAMEPLAY
The game will have a 4 button layout, but I plan on being generous with command normals. There will be a throw button ala CvTW, and another button with as of yet unspecified usage. I will not be using universal chains or magic series. I'll be consulting with some people to try to create a balanced, more deliberate fighting system that focuses less on easy strings like in CvTW/SHADEs.
The game will revolve around the Offense/Defense system. This is something I really thought I'd come up with until it was pointed out to me that the game Rumble Fish already did it. However I've had my heart set on it for so long that I can't let it go.
There will be two meters, each with two sections. One is the Offense Meter and one is the Defense Meter. You would fill the offense meter by attacking, landing hits, or with continuous forward advancement. You'd fill the Defense Meter by guarding, performing counters/reversals, or with continuous backward movement.
The supers are called Offense Drives and Defense Drives. Offense Drives are done with a full Offense meter, while Defense Drives are done with a full Defense Meter. Offense Drives will usually do more damage, but will be riskier and less safe. Defense Drives will vary by character. They might be utility supers, anti-air supers, specific situational supers like a counter, or a very safe move with low risk.
Each character has a critical technique called a Maximum Over Drive (or M.O.D.). This move uses both Offense Meter and Defense Meter.
The offense meter can have two full stocks. One stock is used for EX moves, while both stocks are used for Offense Drives.
The defense meter can also have two full stocks. One stock is used for an Alpha Counter-style move while blocking. Two stocks are used for Defense Drives.
Ideas and Feedback Welcome! I'd like to add another use for each meter without completely ripping off Rumble Fish but I've been a bit blocked.

Yeah this was all covered in the CvTW thread. A Russian voice actor was supposed to replace me but he sent incomplete work and never finished it. The video is old and some things have been updated but I would prefer a Russian actor and I'm open for anyone to try it out. If I can't find one I'm going to chalk it up to me being American and say whatever. All the German in the Die Hard movies is basically gibberish but it is what it is.
