I have been working on stuff over the past three years or so despite the fact that the only thing I've actually made public has been a JUS Terry Bogard nobody really cares about which I assume is due to the fact that it's JUS and isnt particularly flashy despite that being a hallmark of the style. I've had this weird want to make a full game instead of just making characters as I go along, but never really thought of a decent idea for it until now. First it was a primarily Sega-based fighter or really a "good" Sega vs Capcom but then I realized that really ambitious prerendered ikemen thing Madxruler was doing beat me to the punch. Then it was a Nintendo vs Capcom revival with whatever sprites I could find since I had a hand in the overambitious original one but then I realized a lot of the characters I wanted to make didnt have sprites I actually wanted to use so I kinda just gave up on mugen/ikemen stuff and just went along with my college work (mainly C++) with the occasional Lawl moveset writeup.

Then I had an idea. Since I am kinda absorbed in the Smash community and they do value the idea of a "celebration of gaming history", why don't I make a mugen fighter with that premise? It wouldn't be in the same way that Smash does it but it would still have a lot of rich characters. I'm already super familiar with the way mugen works and it would be a unique idea compared to what everyone else is doing, so I personally feel like it'd have a lot of merit. I just need to figure out where exactly I want to go with it, but I do have some ideas.

Clone character problem

Hi there. Considering there isn't a proper Bryan Fury from Tekken in MUGEN, I'm grabbing the base that exists and I wanted to fix it and add some stuff to make it playable.

However, I've encountered a problem that I can't fix. When the character is doing something (you're not supposed to have control over the character), you can make him go into another state simultaneously, creating a clone of the character and "controlling" both at the same time. When you stop doing any action and regaining control over the character again; the clone dissappears.

It seems to be happening ONLY with two attacks, but I'm breaking my head not getting where is the damn problem. I attach an image of how it actually looks. Removing these two attacks make the glitch dissappear, but I don't get WHERE is the problem, to my limited knowledge, the code should work okay.

On a Discord Talk I ended up making a tier list of the characters I'd tackle:

4 tier are characters that I'd be willing to make for specific reasons, but there are specific circumstances that prevent me from doing so. For example, 3rd Strike characters are a pain in the ass to make because assembling their .sff and capitalizing on their animations takes a lot of time. Another example is Claw, who would need for me to jump to IKEMEN GO to make him properly.
tbh, i remember there was a umt thread about if anyone wins the tournament will get a character requested by the winner created by you, but i can't find the thread  :P at that time, I was thinking that if I win the tournament, i can request a character to be made by you and there are two characters that are in this tier that I wished if I win the tournament, I can request one of them for you to make :P both of them are from 3rd strike btw there is also one more, not from 3rd strike, but he isn't in any tiers in the list that you listed ;D btw, if you choose to make kagami, he has got a boss form, his awaken form from the first last blade game

Please avoid creating repeated topics, use this one for your sound related issue.
I have no idea what you mean by script. Are we even talking about mugen?
Anyway, "sctrl" is a block of code you insert in the character files, and there are many sctrls that do different things. One of them is the "PlaySnd", which makes the character play a sound from their .snd file.

So I'm making a game intro but the thing is I have so many frames to the point that the video is slower whenever I set the animation time to 2 so I set it to 1. It didn't work so I set it to 2 to see if the time was an issue but it turns out that 2 suddenly doesn't work either. Do I have too many sprites for the storyboard to handle or something?

To be more precise, I'm trying to replace every instance of the "transparent" color with another color in the palette. Is there a way for me to do that?

This is more than a reindex. The new sprites aren't color separated the same as the base sprites. You'll either have to accept colorloss or do a CS on them.
0_1100-7 has a minor issue with the wrist band and hair. The biggest area is the legs. Your main sprite's legs has at least 1 color in the arms, but has a much higher total than the new sprites being added.

Hello, here is just a sugestion but it is about my characters movelist, well those who have English voices (Makoto and the two Noels)
I saw that in their def files you had set the sound = MakotoENG.au, and that might caused problems for the people who previously downloaded the .def files included in your Drive (i know it's easy by just renaming it, i renamed those when i included your files in my character updates, but still).
I have no idea why the extension in your .def files have sound.au since the sound files are supposed to be .snd (just noticed this for the english voices, again, it is not big issue), but anyway, for the future releases it would be better to just leave them as the regular .snd file. (For example preferibly keeping them as Izayoi.snd instead of IzayoiENG.au, as my characters always will have japanese voice by default and not english)
That's all, this isn't really necessary to be changed now since i already did these changes for Makoto and Noel in their updates, i just wanted to comment about it, even if i'm nort really a IKEMEN enjoyer, thanks for your work.

So, I've recently figured out where my sounds go in: in scripts. the only problem is that I don't know which part of the script to put it in. so I would like to ask you if you know where to put the command in or if you know the little slew of text that allows me to put the sound in.

New Update for everyone, Shitpost images for OHMSBY's upcoming Coco's have been added, you can now look at my unfunny images I picked out.
There is an extras folder in case you want to add back the original images from OHMSBY's or Vinnie's versions of images they chose, for now it's only Yosuke but others will be added
