Hello everyone, I want to create 2 new Pals to force him to only use specified statuses. Below are the "Pal" that I want to apply to him.

Pal 1: Make him only use states like ssj1, ssj2, ssj3. When he runs out of energy bar in ssj3 state, he will return to base state but then he immediately returns to ssj1 state.

Pal 2: Similar to the first one, he can only use statuses like ssgod, ssblue, ssbluekaioken. When he runs out of energy bars in ssbluekaioken, he will return to base state for a moment and then immediately return to ssgod.

Yes I am. I've actually been working on an update for Jake, but haven't gotten around to finishing it. Now it seems I'll need to finish this quickly and make some more changes; that error is because Jake has the "GetPlayerID()" triggers which has been removed from the nightly builds of IKEMEN (I've been keeping track of IKEMEN on github).

While these characters are technically already in Mugen, they aren't represented well.
Bugs Bunny: His current version uses sprites from the SNES games, but don't understand what makes Looney Tunes funny.
Spongebob: The existing versions reference the source cartoon but don't understand good game design.
Homer Simpson: While the popular version of him has good custom artwork, the moveset is incredibly generic with the special moves copied verbatim from a King of Fighters character.
Blossom: The currently existing version was made so long ago that while it has plenty of interesting concepts, it can't be recommended with how much people have learned about game design since.
Freddy Krueger: While a version exists, it is incredibly barebones with blatant template usage.

The leaker even has access to a full playable build of Pokemon Legends : ZA

-Thanks to xcheatdeath, gm_construct is now far more optimized compared to how it was before.
- Due to a recent update in the nightly build, unfortunately for now I have to remove the special add-on for the Chao Karate stage until an update for Lasombra's add-ons comes out.

50/50, I was a bit lazy, to be honest, but it looks pretty good to me, lol.


Hmm, I see. That's the exact same resize I used for Ash(finished sprite sheet), but I thought, specially when comparing to official cvs sprites, that maybe he was a bit tad big. I think I saw a more accurate image showing the perfect proportions else where.

Added a new stage edit: RBS-SokakuStage by RYO2005 (see bottom of first post).

This is the third day/night variant of this stage. Two other variants: RBS-AndyStage and RBS-MaiStage have already been released before. These two variants have also received some minor tweaks today.

Also - for all three of the above edits - I have ported the additional/misc improvements made during wide-screen conversion to the original 4:3 variants.

Would you show few steps of your conversion in a single sprite ?
Sure, Ned. Actually it's a simple/fast process. (And maybe I would have liked to know it earlier)



1st frame: Original Sprite
2nd frame: Reduce colors by applying a cs patch
3rd frame: Decrease the size by 50%
4th frame: Apply the tweaks to the sprite.


Oh Interesting, really liked the change you made to the sprite, thank you. I'll consider applying these changes to all of them. Thanks for the feedback :)

Today, portraits and extras for the game Rival Schools. This is the game in which I have invested the most time looking for and improving the quality of the images and in the end it has been worth it! Only the first portraits of the winner screen look a bit blurry since they are ripped from the original PSX and are pixelated images. I hope that with time I can improve them, well I hope you like them.

Helpful little tip, from a Noob 4 Anyone. ;)

I have recently been experimenting with making stages for Ikemen Go and ran into an issue with the attached character Feacher. A helper would keep moving around when I reset the stage or skipped the intro. The way that I fixed this issue was to put the postype as 'None' as suggested by Ziddia. (Thanks Ziddia!)

Hope this will be helpful to someone.

Hello everyone,

I am a comic writer, game designer, graphic designer, and more.

I am not, however, a sprite creator/animator.

I know that I have seen some VERY awesome custom sprites created for MUGEN over the years.

I am currently writing a manga series that I think would be awesome to see a fighting game for it with 2-d retro style graphics, in the style of SF3, Darkstalkers, SF Alpha, Martial Masters... even newer retro games like Chaos Code and Yatigarasu.

I have tried finding a good sprite creator that can work in these styles with little luck.

Can anyone recommend some awesome pixel artists that can work in those styles?

That's a very good looking Kula. There's just a few things I'd recommend tweaking. After comparing her standing sprite to the CvS and KOF sprites, I feel like her legs are just a pixel too long, and I'd advise to be careful with not making her head too big. In this animation, all you'd need to do is bring the top of her head down by a pixel and it'd be good. Only other thing that I feel didn't translate quite well from XIII to CvS are the leg proportions, with her legs looking very skinny. CvS sprites tend to emphasize the shapes of a characters proportions a good bit, so at the very least, I think her leg shape would be closer to how it was in the older KOF Kula sprite design.



Quick edit I made to help showcase what I'm suggesting, if you'd like to use it.

-Gumby, but in real stop motion style a la ClayFighter, not the Paint monstruosity we all know
-Starkiller from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games
-Meepit from Neopets... yeah, this is strange, but since there's a (fighting) game of this would be great if someone rip those "sprites" (it's flash/ruffle game) and convert it into MUGEN (and no, TSR didn't rip it yet)
-Tintin and/or Captain Haddock from The Adventures of Tintin... but with sprited to be normal chars, not the old sprites they got adapted with limited animation (and Tintin only)
-Grifter from WildStorm/DC, a good sprited one, the only barely decent or made is a spriteswap of MvC3 Chris Redfield sprited for MUGEN, I want to see the real one with proper sprites and moves, no matter if it's from WildCATS, Flashpoint, The Wild Storm, or any DC itineration, at least give me something it isn't a spriteswap, please
