In every game K' has appeared in, Maxima has appeared as his teammate. That's not the same for Kula.

Ralf's not a grappler. Besides, KOF has always been known for having a wide variety of characters with grapple moves.

I dunno what you have against characters with meat n' muscle on them. This is a fighting game afterall, characters are expected to look the part of a fighter with a proper physique fit for fighting.

K', Maxima, Kula/Whip (last one is still not clear)

Proof anywhere?  Call it blind hope, but I really want for there not to be another musclebound dickhead grappler in this, robotic gimmick notwithstanding.  K', fair enough, Kula, if K' is in you can't really exclude her, obnoxious as she is, but Maxima has no point.  Give us Whip, give us Vanessa, hell, give us Bao if it means no Maxima.

Even though I'm the only Bao user in the world I would say hell effin no will they choose him over Maxima (and I can't believe I said that...).

Maxima being in the K' Team actually makes the most sense compared to Kula and Whip. Maxima has always been in the team since 99. Him and K' are partners, they constantly refer to each other as aibou. The only time they don't appear together was in NGBC and that was just a crossover. He is much important to the K' Team than anyone whoever teamed up with K'. Kula only started joining the team in KOFXi bec. she had nothing to do with NESTS anymore. Whip returned to the Ikari Team to continue serving the military.

Also, he's not even a full grappler. He's part grappler/part power fighter and yet not a mix of Ralf and Clark.

Also he's badass robotic Canadian with wicked sideburns. He's as awesome as a pineapple with a sombrero. What's not to love about that?

This is what KOF12 gave us.

They already had proper physiques fit for fighting.  Now it looks like they can't clap their hands together any more.  Hell, I'd be surprised if any of them can see their dicks any more over their roid-charged pecs.

k' has speed, maxima has strength, and whoever the other member might be is usually someone who is a balance of both. it's a formula that works pretty well and has since the start. this coming from a person who doesn't really like k', or maxima, but i can understand why they would keep them together.

that's your problem if you don't know how to use him

and mentionning bao is...the last thing this game needs is the embodiment of projectile whoreness, this game reeks of projectiles so bad you'd think they'll make ralph throw bottles or punch rounds at you, point is everyone who had a projectile at some point has it now and it's bad when it replaces melee attacks which are miles better (kyo's chains, takuma's '02 moveset)


not that I'd mind any other good character taking maxima's place, if that was possible

And there's a laundry list of characters I'd rather see get the XIII treatment ahead of Maxima.

It's not a matter of not knowing how to use him; he's just plain boring to play.  One of his specials is him squatting to take a dump and letting his jetpacks deliver all the punching power.  Back in 02 I was able to come back from two rounds down to beat friends just using this one move, and it was boring as hell.  I liked it better when this guy was Russian, he had a mohawk and was called Jack.
