My laptop has no pause button.
Nor does it have a scroll lock button.
This makes coding and editing states a real pain for me.  Debug info just flies right by.
Are there any alternatives I can use?

You could try taking screenshots if you think your timing is up to the task.

Is finding MUGEN to be more enjoyable to play when you're not wearing clothes an underrated opinion?

Your laptop doesn't have a function key? because that's how I screencap stuff on mine.

Hah, I guess that's one way.  Sounds like there's gonna be a lot of trial and error though.

on-screen keyboard
Doesn't seem like my onscreen keyboard has a pause button either.
...Or do you mean third party programs of screen keyboards?

It does have a function key, but I don't need to use it for print screen.  I do need to press it for some buttons such as F1, F2, volume control, etc.
But my laptop doesn't have pause appear as a second function key either.

oh shit I didn't mean to say screencap, I meant pause.

Duke of Corvus

my "del" key broke in my old laptop, I got around it with a key mapper
it assigns the function of any key to another one in the key board, the downside is that you'll lose the overwriten key... is reversible though...
