Is there a blank screen pack or a screen pack template lying around anywhere?
If someone could just point me in the right direction.... :sugoi:

I'm going to answer with the worst reply ever... No I don't think there is  :-\ I reckon the closest thing to that is simply the default screenpack Mugen comes with. But hopefully someone knows better than me.
An anthropomorphic existential nightmare.

That is the template. You can't have a "blank screenpack template" cos then you wouldn't know what the hell anything was at all. Screenpacks are FAR easier than code, because you don't. You just tack in numbers and change them so they look right.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

I meant like a blank character. A strip down of the default.

Open up system.def. You may not look at the sff file. What do all the numbers mean? If those bg definitions weren't there, would you know what to put there or even what format it was meant to be. Default screenpack is stripped down. It has few layers, it has every bit you need and nothing more. You need the sff file so you can see what each sprite is referring to.

Otherwise you're doing it completely blind and will just come here asking questions you wouldn't have to if you were altering the existing one.

I found some documentation on screen packs, so I wouldn't be completely blind. My opinion this will change after I start working on the coding part.
