Sff Load Error

Excuse me but whenever i open mugen and try to use any character my system helds for 3 or 4 minutes and then a error comes that mugen cannot load the char's sff. don't know why its happening. I tried it on all mugen versions too.i have the system

                            " Chars (iam using)                       = only ngbc chars plus some XI chars too

Is it because my system is old or shuold i buy a new one or the mugen iam using is buggy or the ngbc chars have errors.

And the names of every char's sff in correct in their def files too.

your system should be enough to handle mugen..

SFF is where all the sprites of the character is kept you must have something in your mugen with a corrupted sff file, is there a specific characters you insisted on using ? if so that character may be the cause.

I had the same thing happen when I was editing a char. My guess is you were messing around with FF and this happened. Redownloading is the best way to fix it.

Ok i was editing the ngbc screenpack with FF but not the chars and now i have DL the ngbc SP again and have applied it on to Mugen but still this error comes. and now this time iam using the hi res stage mugen only........... help me please

Does it work with only kfm in the select screen?

well as i said only using ngbc chars and some kofxi chars thats all........the error happens to come on every char

I'm trying to figure out what it's not right now. If you put KFM in the select screen and only him and it works then we know that one of the chars is having a problem and causing a crash. So if you don't mind take out what you got and put only KFM in.

well only KFM works fine for few times only.maybe i should use kfm only and forget about the ngbc

Ok if KFM works then one of the chars you downloaded is messed up. It's most likely the last one you put in. If not then it's one of the ones with an order=1. Find him and take him out and the rest should work. If it doesn't then you may need to re-download the chars.

well tried it now works fine but after some time the error comes again.

Which char did you take out. Did it have an order # who was the creator?

OK OK now iam happy because everything is fine.the only thing which was causing the peoblem was FF.i unistalled it refreshed everything in mugen again and everything works fine.
I think that FF on randomselect has a bug or virus that automatically do something with the char's sff.now iam just using mcm and everything is perfect.
