When you resize a picture from 240 pixels to 60, you're missing 3 out of 4 pixels on the conversion, because you must keep the same dpi (72). It's obvious your images won't look as good as before.

Alright that makes sense. I was just following the tutorial exactly, and it says he converted the height from 240 to 60 and everything looked fine. I'll try resizing them again though. I did finish up the rest of the tutorial just to see if it would work, and when I go to pick my stage only one stage shows a picture and it's as thin as a toothpick. I know this is a pretty noob tutorial but I guess I still messed up somewhere.

you need to specify the width of each character as well as their offset.

You can always check an alternate font creation tutorial (a bit old, but the theory behind is still the same) which should explain better what is a font and how they actually work in mugen.

The tutorial can be found at my site, in the "help" section.

Yeah I checked out your site, and what it says about the fonts definitely helped me make more sense out of it. I'm gonna give it another try now and I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the help.
