addition of the Tarasque but lack of St.Martha is a bit offputting...however that "The Beast" design is balling

Well, indeed. As far as I know, MFG and MArchive DO have some bad blood to share. I think it's all about MA's usage of ADFly, aka monetization of other authors' free work for their own profit.

MA uses adfly
They earn money that way from other people's work,and adfly is also filled with malicious ads and malware
Also,if you made any character that they're earning money from and ask them to remove it,they will ban you.
So yea,in order to save everyone the trouble,it's been blacklisted

I dunno how to put it into several words, other than just like turnbase startegy game, but done manually, and any random chances are done with dices. and range/ line of sight finder is using special made stick.
