The hyper portrait for MAX2 looks great, not as intrusive as MvC2 stuff.

The scan reads "Original character" for that guy (I though it was Kyo-0 from Zillion at first glace)
This just keeps getting better and better.

K''s new small portrait looks cool.

That new guy (bottom right) looks like a cross between Krizalid and Kyo (which looks awesome)

...I think i'll buy a second-hand PS2 now...

That's it, i'm buying a PS2 again.

Jhun, King, Lin, Shingo are added, along with 1 new character ("Kyozalid")

Wow, plenty of Kyo clones (Kusanagi, Kyo-1, Kyo-2 and "Kyozalid")

Also, looks like they really removed K9999 (replaced him with Foxy, but K9999 > Foxy :P)

What's up with SNK's K9999 hate...

K9999 was an homage to Tetsuo from Akira. They didn't get permission from the creator of Akira and they got sued. They lost the case, afaik.

Source or it's bullshit. (IIRC the only issues that had was because the character was created by EOLITH)

The game includes a NeoGeo mode IIRC, which is...the regular version of 2002, and it's been confirmed that K9999 is there.

let me guess, 14 hidden characters:
krizalid-1, krizalid-2, zero, original-zero, igniz, rugal, orochi, goenitz, geese, krauser, mr big, lucky, heavy d', brian, chizuru, saisyu?

that is already 16 but I am sure they will not add krizalid-1, they might also choose either zero or original zero

I am happy with the roster so far, one new character: kyozalid  :sugoi:
I sure must buy this game like kof98um, awesome :sugoi:
let hope the system move also change, I doesn't like the max activation move, player would know you are going to use sdm or hsdm.

Yeah, maybe they'll carry on the UM system of 2 buttons = SDM
I'd say most of you choices are correct (Except for sports team, Mr.Big and Krauser, sadly. from what was mentioned in the interview those probably won't make the cut)
Geese is a given since he was in the console version of '02, same for Orochi Iori and Goenitz, they hinted at SvC stuff as well (Then again, Geese, Orochi Iori and Goenitz were SvC copy-paste)
Saisyu was in NeoWave so he might make the cut, maybe Young Geese as well (EX version for Geese?)

Speaking of EX/Ura modes, if they include those, technically we'll end up with much moooore than 66 characters.

Hiroaki is doing the new artwork? The art in the official page is gorgeous.

It would be pretty awesome to have "Another" versions of characters as EX modes (eg. Another K', Another Iori, etc.)

But then again, it would require plenty of spritework.

The art in the official page is gorgeous indeed, probably the best portrayal of the characters.
