Let me get this straight,..  The gameplay should remain Mortal Kombat. I'm looking for digitalized characters i can work with to create new original MK characters. Except for some chars from Wargods wich run on a simular fighting system.

I got a shitload of crazy ideas, but i dont know many will survive. If it sounds good, but it doesnt work for the game, i'll take it out. I've known mugen only for two months now, and i learn by just trying stuff out and making a lot of backups. I dont know my full potential, and i dont know the full potential of the engine. I got some people helping me out, so its at least the game is progressing.

But its just about making something fun while havin some and sharing it in the end. And i'm only in for the good stuff.  :sugoi:

Yeah, but after being around here awhile, people become  cynicle and picky. Gotta deal with it. Seems like a lot of ideas here, sort of seems to feel like your still in the planning stages, and a whole game is a bit much to chew on a newbie scale. I think people will believe more in what you are trying to do when a character or 2 is downloadable and seem finished. Lots of people spend years on like only one character and never complete them. Trust me all the time people post about these epic ideas that somehow they think they do in a short amount of time. They almost always Fail. Focus on one thing at a time, and I think most here will start giving you more of a chance. Please read through other project threads and such and see what I mean. People truly are hoping some will finish what they started, but almost all the time they don't finish. Heck I have been guilty of not finishing things I started like the 3 dudes in my sig.

I'm always planning, nothing is secure. Its only a matter of integrity, a mindset with a simple goal of getting something done at one point in time, one way or another. So for what you have not finished now, why not start working on it again now?

Mostly due to college work and such. Learning programs and such takes time. I look at mugen as mostly a animation producing program. Like say Adobe After Effects. While most here will most likely disagree with me on this, thats what I think.

Anyways, gotta choose my battles as I see them. Also, as most may notice, I havn't posted about 2 of the guys down in my sig, because I don't want to build up for a Fail. I see enough of them to know better. I'm still learning the coding aspect which I find the hardest to do.

As far as your first part of this comment, sort of leaves a bad taste in everyones mouths if you talk a big talk and decide to change your mind on what your doing.

You can only learn by doing it, and its not a matter of time, but a matter of effort. Theres nothing difficult about it either, only a matter of knowing how, and if you dont know how to do it, you ask someone else for help,.. its not difficult at all.

Your presenting me like a showoff,..  i dont talk big, i think big, and thats a big difference. And i'm always changing my mind about what i'm doing, thats how i do everything in life, and thats how i get things done.

And so what if i get a car accident, and i cant finish it,.. should i be bothered with the bad taste i leave behind in peoples mouth? What if i'm becoming a father and my priorities change, and have to put effort into a newborn baby,.. should i worry about the bad taste i leave behind in other peoples mouth?

I got a different mindset then you, probably different from most people too,..

You say: "I havn't posted about 2 of the guys down in my sig, because I don't want to build up for a Fail. I see enough of them to know better."

I see failure already,.. and aint nothing wrong with that, as long as you learn from your mistakes and do something with it, but your not doing anything with it.

Every creation is an egotrip,..  thats why people dont tell a painter what to paint and how to paint it, or a writer what to write and how to write it. Its like telling Picasso he got the eyes and noses all wrong, you just dont do that. And some people think its shit, others love it,.. and i cant keep everybody happy, and its not my job to do that either.

This is for me in first instance, and i'm willing to share. Same principle for every developer in the MUGEN community, i have no obligations to no one, and no one has obligations towards me. And for what i get i'm simply thankfull, and for what i dont get,.. well i dont even bother about thinking all the stuff i dont have.

Keep your expectations low, if you know your dissapointment can turn out high.

I did finish school for graphic designer, and they never tought me something i couldnt figure out on my own, rather they all have it already figured out for you, and theres nothing left to explore. Creativity was a word used in plenty, but it hardly ever honored its meaning.

I still hate people that compliment me with my drawing skills, and at the same say they could never do that. Just the fact they never tried it pisses me off, and the fact they dont put the effort in it to get hold of the skills pisses me off even more. To me its not a mystery why people cant get shit done in life.

They dont believe in themselves, and others dont believe in them.

I dont believe i'm special, i dont have a gift, i put effort into my stuff,.. its the rest that believes they are too stupid or lacking the ability to do what others do so well. They are smallminded by choice, not by chance.

Its a matter of integrity, and its the only mindset that delivers.

I know this message comes across strong, but i percieve this in many aspects of life apart from MUGEN.

Ok I wasn't trying to piss you off. Thats not my M.O

I got a different mindset then you, probably different from most people too,..

I'm focusing on my schooling which is my future. Mugen to me is a pass time, not a job.

I'm pretty sure that early on is his career people did say that Picasso's work at best was odd. It took time i'm sure for him to build up support and fans and such. Anyways, not much to say to that.

This is for me in first instance, and i'm willing to share. Same principle for every developer in the MUGEN community, i have no obligations to no one, and no one has obligations towards me. Yes, I was always the pestimistic one, no doubt. Never denied that ever.

Never anywhere did I question your drawing skills. Infact thats not the issue here. Also, as noted above I go to college and because of that, everything takes a backseat to my studies.

They dont believe in themselves, and others dont believe in them.

I dont believe i'm special, i dont have a gift, i put effort into my stuff,.. its the rest that believes they are too stupid or lacking the ability to do what others do so well. They are smallminded by choice, not by chance.

Your reading me all wrong. And your labeling me to avoid my advise, which while I'm not going to stand in your way (far from it) I did find  affensive.

Also, if what I say means nothing to you, then why with this long rant anyways? It's fine in all you want to express yourself, and trust me I do it all the time, but this long post I'm replying to seems very odd from someone that doesn't care about what others think.

Since you bring up the "he doesn't do anything bit" heres a link to the thread were I released new Artwork that is made in freetime, not for school. I hardly ever see praise for my work within the mugen guild, but I do post it.

I'm not reading you perfectly, no. But i'm reading you pretty well.

When something seems odd or weird to you, its merely ignorance on your part, a lack of understanding, and theres only one smart thing to do in a situation like that,..  to ask questions.

Heres my advice to you.

When you come across someone that seemingly is taking to much on its fork,.. offer them a helping hand, and dont talk em down.

Your advice was a negative output, negative output always takes away, it doesnt add, it isnt constructive. Since your going to school you should be attentive of those kind of outputs. For there are always people telling you what you can or cant do, or what you can or cant become.

Pay attention to negative outputs, they are limiting free thought by laying out psychological boundries.

Its the basic principle that pisses me off, and the reason why i dont care for public opinion.

Perhaps if there were more people crediting you for what you do, you'd felt a greater stimulation to extend your boundries, might open up possibilities you'd never recieve taking a conservative stand.

Thats all good if you don't want to improve. But other perspectives help see things you didn't think about, and in some cases get you back to earth. However you got to take everything with a drain of salt, the perspective may never like what you make.

I really don't see why you even post here if you don't want to hear what people think. Thats the point. If you didn't want to interact with the public, then don't post your plans on a forum.

Your point of view I simple am not able to grasp.

At this point, I think its best to agree to disagree.

I know you said you didnt have time, and i was suggesting something for you not to do, and offer a alternative if you do wish to be helpfull.

You are suggesting by implications that i dont want to improve what i do,...  what the fuck do you think i've been doing all the time!?

I see you do not grasp my views, but its not hard to understand i dont have to deal with the cynicle and picky, and with those who talk for majorities.

I have reasons for the way i do things, and i dont have to excuse myself for them, you do your thing, and mind your business. You have an unpleasent way of sharing ideas..
