ssj4 is one of the worst parts imo. its ugly and it just sparked more bullshit ssj5 fan-fictions and edgy as hell "after future" stories like absalon (which has great animation but its story is so fucking stupid.)

 toriyama's stuff has a certain quirk to it but it isn't something that screams "innovation" imo

hell he only made goku's hair for ssj gold because he was too lazy to fill in the black ink for his normal hair

because the original japanese term is "saiya-jin"

for someone who claims to love dragonball so much and its the best thing ever invented it's funny to know he doesn't know this type of stuff.

I'm somewhat curious what your best part of GT was, the general consensus I get out of those in favor or against GT was SSJ4, while not the best name, was the best thing to come out of the series as a whole.  A unique new look for a new form that mixes the previous two Saiyan transformations into something new.  Or at the very least not just longer hair.

And everything about this whole topic is subjective, so you don't really have to make anyone agree with you, Saint.  I'll agree that in iconic style and preference as far as anime goes, Dragon Ball and Toriyama as a whole is exceedingly more preferable than the likes of Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin or Naruto, personally.  But something else personally I like the design of more-so than them?


And I'm willing to bet not everyone agrees.  And that's fine.  You don't need to have everyone agreeing on this.  Would be rather boring then, wouldn't it?

anything in 3rd world asian countries is gold brah

anywho,

i dislike almost everything about gt.

trunks and his whiny attitude, pan, the story, GOKU JR, no character development, the whole kid goku thing, ssj4, the fact vegeta couldnt even get that form on his own, etc.

the best thing to come out of it were the shadow dragons, they had neat designs.

No, he refused to keep doing it so Toei did it without him after pushing him out.

Super is his way to tell whoever made gt to fuck off.

The very first thing he did in super was to have the pilaf gang ( who were old miserable people in GT) come back as little kids after a botched wish.

Toriyama was more or less fine with the series.  The live action Hollywood movie was what he took issue with, but then everyone did.

He had to support it contractually, he hated it, had he liked it he wouldnt be remaking a new thing and instead he would be trying to have it fit the canon.
He even had to say nice things about the movie at first.

Every step super took so far is geared towards making sure that GT is impossible.
