Ya know, when they said the next reveals were gonna make you question life itself, a GUEST CHARACTER OUTSIDE OF THE CAPCOM-VERSE (or 2 of such) was the last thing in my mind.

Can we get Terry as a bonus guest commentator just so he can spread the word of Terry-engrish to the masses?

Dunno how to feel about Dictator's new appearance but both he and Elena are getting their old appearences back either way so hmm.

but the real worry for me is that according to a few reliable sources, this 2 guest, 2 returnee thing is going to be how it is for future seasons and that's super worrying.


it reduces the chances of returnees to being only guaranteed money makers. no wild cards. doesnt help that its only 2 characters a year.

seriously hope that either A: the guest characters chosen in future seasons are literal dream-come-true material or they just don't do guest characters.

According to which sources? Because I find it strange that they'd just start pumping out guests like that all the time. SNK has a history with Capcom and the characters being brought are some of the most iconic ones in fighting games, so it makes sense for Capcom to add them as a big deal.

same people who leaked there would be specifically 2 guest characters from one franchise. that specific detail.

you can google it.


and plus. once you start selling guest characters, you basically have to keep doing that for good.

Yeah, I think about guests it seems FF was picked because the two series share DNA in the form of Takahashi Nishyama. I could see this logic extended to guests from AoF, Fighting Layer, Darkstalkers, or even Mega Man. (it would be a good way to use the well-demanded B and C tier series that Capcom isn't making room for a new entry for by making them guests in SF6.

Quick note.  The new Japanese voice actor for Dictator is Taiten Kusunoki (Nagoriyuki from Strive, Original Zero from KOF: All Stars).  He now sounds more like the English Voice Actor.

He doesnt seem to be the M.Bison but rather a clone or a copy. I absolutely love his redesign!

I was so hyped when I initially saw the reveal trailer, but have been getting more irritated with it as time goes on.

For starters, the "return" of Bison. Can we fucking stop with Bison? There is no return, he's been in EVERY mainline game except 3. We don't need to keep trotting him out.

Besides that, my biggest issue is Terry and Mai.  I think it's really cool to see them in this, and the closer we get to CVS3, the better. But it's just so upsetting that this whole game bites off Street Fighter III's aesthetic so hard AND is the first game to take place after III, and our grand total of Street Fighter III originals is now.... 1. Yet we still get Dhalsim and Honda at launch, despite them still being boring one-note anachronisms.

People have been counterarguing since Season 1's reveal that SFIII characters are gonna come later as incentive, but boy is the wait gonna be such a bummer for me personally.

I would loved MORE SF3 reps. I understand about Terry's and Mai's popularity, but those 2 as free characters or "surprise! we have guests!" would be better. We need to know about Today Alex's endeavours, Dudley, etc. Hell, even Eagle!

Yep, as well as FF/RS having no reps.

There's a decent potential pool of picks even with guests and WT sub-boss/quest giver duty making the less popular characters less likely (Rufus sub-boss in WT would be nice)

SFA: Sakura, Karin, R. Mika, Dan, Cody, Maki (sorry Guy, we can give Maki most of your remaining kit I guess), Rolento, possibly the Dolls
SF3: Ibuki, Makoto, the Twins (possibly as one character), Dudley, Alex, Urien and/or Gill (they'll probably just pick one), Sean, Hugo, maybe even Necro
SF4: C. Viper, Poison, Seth... that's basically it aside from maybe Hakan, Abel, or Decapre
SF5: Menat, Akira, Laura, Falke (because plot), Kolin (to fill out for the missing SF3 villain), possibly Zeku... the Ono era had a lot of duds.
FF/RS/etc: Tiffany Lords, Haggar, Batsu, Edge, Hinata, Gunloc, Black Widow, Zaki

I don't think there really need to be any more SF2 characters, but if I was forced to pick... Sagat. Then Fei-Long, then Claw.

On the other hand, the FF guests at least make sense given Nishiyama's involvement in both (and SF6), ya know what other game he was involved with? Mega Man. Inafune also contributed to SF1, as well. So this means Zero might work, possibly bringing X, Axl, or even Iris (maximum HNNNNNG factor incoming) with him.
Darkstalkers also seems pretty likely due to the historic relevance DS and its development have to SF, especially with people like James Goddard as well as aesthetically. Plus the people have spoken they want DS, but the market... not so much room for it. Art of Fighting could happen too because of Nishiyama.
