hey, wait a second! I thought Joe was supposed to have a broken leg! why is he suddenly playable?!
snk scrapped off the character, kuen and made a new character, preecha with new storyline different from kuen, maybe or maybe, kuen was meant for kof timeline since joe mentioned her in kof13's winquote against kula so maybe that was why joe's injury don't exists anymore  :P i am glad he is in, otherwise i don't even know who to main  :P and also mr. big? wow, the second art of fighting character to be in fatal fury franchise :8):

Game takes place two years after Garou, either his leg healed or he has a prosthetic.

Congrats Bobby Ologun, you are no longer the weirdest inclusion of an IRL human being in a fighting game ever (yes I know about Lebron and I still think Bobby is up there). (EDIT: no wait, I forgot about Norimaro lol)

The best part about this guy is that he is included in the base roster instead of DLC.

I just tested the Open Beta 2 and I loved what I got. It plays a bit different from KOFXV and definitely loved the comic-book style, fits so well on the game. And yeah, I got confused about CR7 as a VG character (not to be in a FIFA/PES/EAFC/etc) but also excited, it passed a lot of time since SNK made a non-fighting sports character (this reminds me KOF's USA Team and AODK's Bobby Nelson)

So, there're 2 characters left to be revealed, it's nobody's secret those 2 are Jaehoon and Hokutomaru, I hope to make their trailers during these weeks. Also... some would reserve the game or would you expect the release day to get the game?? (or maybe not because of CR7)

It depends on how eyecatching the game is to me whether it is worth getting the game on launch or wait for the inevitable all-in-one tournament edition.  For CotW, it's the former.  Game has really caught my interest.

I don't really care for CR7's inclusion, even tho those resources could have been applied for Freeman at launch.  If anything, I expect CR7 to give this game a decent boost in sales due to name recognition.  His role is honestly a risk because if the IRL CR7 gets into even hotter water, welp.

Is it fair to say that SNK has completely jumped the shark?  If using the long awaited sequel to one of their most beloved games of all time as a platform to flaunt Saudi celebrity connections doesn't qualify, I'm not sure what does.

I guess these bizzare guest choices is a result of wanting to cashcow it to make sure the new Fatal Fury they've been wanting to make and finish for decades is marketed up the ass and has international appeal to make a success.
I think Ronaldo is enough frankly and the internet went nuts over it for better or worse (any publicity is good publicity I suppose), though Salvatore looks hella interesting move-wise has a neat stage, they coulda just kept the deal to the DJ Music selection and save a slot for a fan favorite.

Hell, peeps are boycotting and cancelling pre-orders and shit over this, but that's a bit of an overreaction and I'm still hyped for it, but I understand since it's gonna have to live and die by the goofy celebrity guests.

Most likely my next full-game

I don't care that much because i like it for the zanyness factor :p But it's kinda weird to have 2 celeb guests at the same time, at the base game none the less. I guess SNK might as well make a celebrity fighting game honestly 乁 ˘ o ˘ ㄏ

You know, when WWE people appeared in The King Of Fighters: All Stars (rip), as crazy as it was for The Rock and John Cena dueling with a large majority of characters both SNK and outside of SNK, at least it made sense because it is based on their wrestling personas and are well-known for, you know, fighting.

This isn't japanese comedian Norimaro's OC appearing for a one-shot gag against Marvel's characters, this is some DJ guy (if he is well-known around the globe like CR7, how come I never heard of this guy until now) taking up a spot that could have been a legacy Fatal Fury character or another OC in the Garou-verse to go alongside Preecha and Vox.

From what I read, he remixes some songs for this game.  Cool.  Can we get the lead singer of Chain Reaction in this?  How about an influencer who says nice things about this game and will play it for a week before getting into a controversy with the law?  Give that guy a healing move while you are at it so he remains S+ tier while he's behind bars.

Madness.

Nah, I absolutely understand where they are coming from.  Almost 30 years of waiting just for the iconic and beloved Fatal Fury IP to be reduced to nothing more than a vanity venue for one nauseatingly rich dickhead is foul.  If it was just CR7 it would still kind of suck, but whatever, he is one of the most famous people alive, especially to the Latin American audience that makes up a lot of SNK's own fandom.  But now we're at the point where anyone with the loosest of ties to Prince MBS are getting full development resources and time towards becoming a full fledged character in what's supposed to be the grand finale of their flagship franchise 25 years in the making.
