New palettes for OHMSBY's Yu and Kohaku are now available. The image previews have also been improved since I was able to figure out the site MT7 uses to host his images after some investigation, so it should be easier to tell what you're looking at now. The larger template base images that used to be here can still be seen in the Google Drive link for those who wanted them, and Kohaku's new palette has one as well. Going forward, I'm thinking about moving my commentary about the creation process behind each palette into the posts that announce their release to save space in the original post. With that being said...
Yu Narukami - Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Color 2 (Opposite Base Color)

This one was made as part of an experiment of mine. I've wanted to port over the existing colors for OHMSBY-styled fighters ever since I was still using the palette select branch of IKEMEN GO a few months back, but learned pretty quickly that I couldn't just apply the palettes from the images on Dustloop to the characters themselves. This palette is therefore my first step in converting one such palette to MUGEN/IKEMEN. Should I have infinite time and an immunity to repetitive strain injury, I'd like to eventually do this for every character that uses the OHMSBY style who previously appeared in a fighting game. For now, though, this is the only one I've got. It was kind of tricky to put together since there were a few blindspots in the palette for Izanagi's weapon that weren't displayed by the image I was using to make the palette, and I admittedly couldn't figure out what one of the colors on the weapon's bandaged-looking part was used for so there may be a part that doesn't look right in game. Do let me know if you happen to spot it so I can make an attempt to correct it.
Kohaku - Tsukihime Trial Version

As promised, this palette was modeled after Kohaku's design in the Trial Version of Tsukihime. There, she had a green ribbon in her hair and the kimono under her apron was also green. This made the palette relatively simple to replicate, so I decided to expand on it a little by changing the straps on her sandals and the China dress's colors to match her green kimono. The cloak she wears was also made white to match the other parts of her outfit. Everything else was left unchanged, which made for a nice change of pace overall after working on Yu's palette for 3 days.
I'm not sure what palette I'll make next. I have a sort of framework set up that would speed up the process of making palettes for Yu since a good chunk of the first day's work was mapping out his palettes to see what color did what, so maybe I'll convert another one of his P4AU colors. I could also do one of his BBTAG colors, but it's largely going to depend on whichever one catches my attention at that time.
