why take the toughness of the character away....I find it fun because it's a challenge....I'd rather face a character I can't beat because I'm not good enough yet than be a wuss and have all characters that are used as mugen punching bags....the point is it gets boring playing against an opponent who sucks compared to you...think like Akuma...he's always lookin for a challenge...someone to best him so he can be determined to get better and kick his ass next time...or so on....keep this thing you guys call cheapness in these characters...I can't beat either of the two yet but I sure as hell like fighting them to better my skills...

If you want to ACTUALLY PLAY WITH THE CHARACTER instead of faping to the invincible AI that exploits all the possible cheapness you have so much advantage over you opponent that is not even funny.

I think that pots wants to do, make Reu's characters more fun to play as.

Also, mugen's AI will not really help you to increase your skill, as any AI has flaws that a human would learn from instead from and avoid of falling to the same estrategy.

Well, no offense, but if you think that pwning your opponent in a completly one sided match is fun you can always hit ctrl + 2.

this is mugen, there are thousands more characters stronger than reu characters

I'd just like to suggest that perhaps the whole "Brazil" problem is most likely due to bad open source coding that everyone uses? Just a thought.

As for the Evil Duo, why are people even fighting ? If you so much want to play with Cheap versions of the characters, well ... just play with the old versions as you've always been doing ! o_O POTS is balancing the chars, and some of you are asking him to let them be cheap as before, which is the opposite of his update. If you're so unhappy with what he's doing, then play with the old versions, that's all.

My favourite fighter is JoJo's, a mother of brokenness, and I'm still bothered by some of the stuff going on in these characters. ;P

Anyway I already said right on the first post I don't intend to make them entirely balanced, just more reasonable.  If Ken starts a move and P2 performs a super to blow through it with invulnerability, he should lose to it (there are exceptions of course); Ryu shouldn't set up unblockables every time he shoots an air fireball; Ken shouldn't be able to do 4-frame overheads into 50% + damage; they shouldn't get 60% damage off of a single move based on luck, etc etc.

But with that said they are also getting improvements in other areas, such as Ryu having a reason to dash now or Ken's DP+a giving you an actual juggle instead of just making P2 jump.

no, that wasn't my intention. Everyone pics some char by some reason- or by some advantage. Its reasonable to let it have its trademark powers.

that is right. I just was giving my feedback - afterall, this is why this topic was made.

No offences Post, I really like your chars a lot, patrício. But I will skip that ones.

Either way we all have our tastes as was mentioned before...personally I like trying to find loopholes in the AI and exploit it....it like putting a puzzle together...let's give POTS his chance though....he's a awesome creator and knows what he's doing so you do what you must....hell I'd probly keep both versions and team up with the toned down version to take down the almost invincible version...I did it by teaming both Vyn's Gouki and Evil Ryu against Reu's Evil Ryu....

I just wanna come back here and apologize for my outburst back there, it was uncalled for and I fully knew it.  My views on fighting games then and now are very different.  I used to think the Evil Duo were the most awesomest characters ever, now I just think they're way too overpowered and overrated.

There needs to be some balance, because some good creations could be overlooked and dismissed if they're completely destroyed by The Super Popular True Really Bad Serpent King Shoto Akuma Guy Person Mark Thirteen.

Well, nothing new here, just some facts I figured:

PotS keeps the "feel" as far as mugen1.0 allowes that.
(because these remakes will not substitude for the originals in winmugen),

He also just tweaks a few flaws, which we all agree on are immanent!

Dropping the cheapness is not the whole point, PotS thinks about, I guess.
As some cheaps thrills should be kept & will be still present, as he stated all along!
(only that we all prefer different ones to leave untouched)

I liked the desperation-moves where most of your energy was drawn away.
I wrote that before...

PotS might consider this, but if not...so be it - it's his decision.

The ai is IMO repetetive as hell...

Yes! The EvilDuo in particular was the reason why I followed this community since almost five years now...

But PotS is one of the best there is to do this & most over all, he's not reinventing but evolving these beasts for the new [official] mugen1.0!
