To maybe spark some more interest in the Midnight Bliss section (and maybe for those that want to custom sprite something interesting for the project. For whom, I don't know. Maybe they can use the designs for some other characters!), I'll post the ones for a game that probably some people haven't even seen (nor care for): Cross Edge.

Some of these are really nice, though others I just don't care for (Morrigan's of course, and Etna's disappoints me a lot). The witch's one is very nice (though Maid MBs are common it seems)...I don't know! Maybe someone will take up the challenge to either transfer these to another style, or come up with something much better for someone (like say Morrigan or Etna?). Just my two cents on this!

Just to bring this up (and to add it to the first post as well) This project is meant to be a community project!. Yes, originally I made this project for myself just to give myself something to do, and to do something for the community that I liked to do (and which really, wasn't done that much). As time went on and I stopped spriting, I still wanted this to keep going and didn't really WANT to end it (even though I had considered it many times in the past), so I tried to find people who'd be interested in helping on it. Around that time I figured why not make this a community project? Sure, I didn't really advertise it as such, and probably should have, and sure, not THAT many people work on this project (hell, I don't know how many are even interested IN this project at this time and day), but I will keep this project open to anyone who is willing to work on it, whether it be to add more to the project itself, or to show off what they made (as Balthazar and Toshio have been doing).

Hell, if anything, it makes it easier to give criticism to them no? Right? Right!? @_@

But anyways, there you go. I might try a Midnight Bliss again soonish (I've been saying that for like 4 months or so now...need to stop procrastinating), and I already sent Tekkanon some sprites so expect some more shocks from him eventually. To anyone else, have fun and enjoy the project I suppose? ^^;

Yes, the yellow isn't exactly used in the sprite it seems. Dunno what to do about that sadly @_@

First post updated with all of the creators of the sprites. Don't know which is better...having the names of both the creators of the sprites and the authors of the characters, or just the creators of the sprites since I'm sure people can adjust the palettes for whomever they want....what do you guys think?

Let's have a bit of an update!

So, a little story for ya'll! I went hunting not too long ago for new Midnight Blisses/Shocks, when I came upon these two little Shocks on a Japanese place (will not link because it is NSFW and well...it's NSFW)

Now, the funny thing is, these date to December 2010...so they've been around for a couple years. I have NEVER seen these up until now, and I don't even know who did them, but I shall add them to the project nonetheless. The problem is, the first one is for the edited SFF for Mina that Viofitz was doing, so it doesn't go with normal Minas unless edited to work with it. Secondly, I don't know who the second character is at all. I've SEEN her before, I know I have, but I don't know WHO she is! @_@

And now, I present a little special challenge to you spriters that are willing to take a challenge. You all know Demitri's original Midnight Bliss from Darkstalkers correct? Well, the challenge here is to try and do that in SVC style (yes, the stand, grabbed, and draining animation. The whole nine yards). That's the only real challenge...and to help with more details, I give you an image that was uploaded today by Omar:

(On a sidenote, didn't know Demitri's MB in Darkstalkers was a homage to anyone. Seems to be a homage to Mina from Bram Stoker's Dracula from what I'm reading)

If you want an extra challenge, try and do the stand pose as in the image. The grabbed and draining animation, all up to you! For additional challenges, try the other Midnight Blisses in SVC/KoF style. For even MORE of a challenge...well, come see me on that if you want additional challenges. There's always Cross-Edge Midnight Blisses~

I realy like this project and I hope you continue it, because of that I votet for "Yes, it's a nice project."

And I normaly don't say much here at the forum, but I'm curious about the Poll and want to know why you added it, did you believe that the communinity is not interestet anymore or something like that?

That is part of the reason I guess. The project's been around for 4-5 years now, and well...yeah lol.

"Well, I -myself- haven't sprited anything for this project in 2 years (last one I did officially was Malin's Midnight Bliss, which the original stand was from Chloe. The draining WAS by me, but the first grabbed sprite is edited from Terry's SVC Midnight Bliss grabbed sprite. I'm actually impressed I managed to do hers), and since then I haven't had any motivation to do any Midnight Blisses myself. Add onto that I haven't been able to find anyone to help on the Midnight Bliss side and well...yeah lol...

For those who are curious, this is EVERYWHERE that I've asked for help on this project (and those that did help):

Mugen-Infantry (Sky79/Sky759, Tsunamidusher, and Kento2006 all helped with some of the Midnight Blisses. Sayajin Mui helped with giving 2 stand sprites that he had from another project of his)
Mugen Fighter's Guild (Aionios is pretty much the only one that helped from here so far)
Spriter's Academy (Nobody, though I faintly recall Nio letting me use a Midnight Bliss...I just don't remember)
Panda Urashima (Nobody)
Infinity Mugen Team (Warner, on my request, did do a couple Shocks for this project. Other than that, nobody else has helped)
MugenChina (Nobody)
CVG United (Nobody)
ScruffyDragon (Nobody)
Sinhra (Nobody)
DeviantArt (Only got a couple Midnight Blisses from DarkVampireDee. Other than that, nobody)
Here (Darkgirl did some stand sprites for me a long time ago. That's about it...still waiting on Anti-Cosumo)

This doesn't include the many, many, many people that said they would help and either did nothing, or outright never showed up again. So yeah...there's that ^^;"

So there's that too, which are two of the other major reasons; lack of help really, and my inability to actually DO anything with my own project (that alone is a blow to me. I like being able to do things myself, but I just don't have the time nor patience for spriting. When one sprite takes a week to do (which I remember some of those Midnight Blisses taking that long for just the stand sprite, and it was mostly a sprite edit at that), you can imagine part of the reason why I added the poll I suppose. ^^;
