I feel this game shows successors and protegees as a theme it has been a thing in the first game. I would like them to reveal at least the roster and the game's modes and features before the release date and pre-orders.

Also, Mai's voice was in early teasers as well, so we can expect both her and Kain. I really hope Billy's trailer coming so shortly after Kevin's means trailers will become more frequent now.

I'll bet Billy has a history with Rock with Geese mentioning him from time to time. He might even ask him to follow in his footsteps but Rock refuses since he disowned him and went with Terry. Ultimately, he was corrupted with power, which brought Geese to his demise. Also, he has a beef with Joe for dating his sister.

American trailer shows more of South Town Rushmore (Billy, Lawrence, Wolfgang, and most likely Geese (4th face isn't finished)).  And, while it's nice to see the ducklings, why are they the size of dogs?

New trailers coming up with release date and details on Fatal Fury's version of world tour mode Episodes of South Town RPG Adventure

coming out in 4.25.2025

This must be one of Mai's casual outfits the could add the other outfit of hers wearing a white shirt with jeans. To be honest this outfit is more practical when is casually going out on the town maybe on a date with Andy.

They got a football/soccer player promoting their game.

Cristiano Ronaldo, could be in the game or just promoting the game it is unknown. In my opinion, this is very unexpected.

And Kenny Omega from AEW

  • Build it, shape it, by my will.
Shades of Bobby Olugun in Power Instinct.  Though, it might just be free skins for Kim Dong Hwan and Kim Jae Hoon, once their trailer inevitably shows up.

Also, I can't seem to find any news of Kenny Omega doing a collab with CotW other than him going to SNK's booth.

He tweeted a selfie of him taking a tour of SNK HQ in Osaka Japan. There might be a cross-promotion with AEW or Kenny or be in the game as well. SNK is not playing around they competing against Namco, Arc System Works, and Capcom they are here to win.

They got a football/soccer player promoting their game.

It should be worth nothing that it's not just any football player, it's Cristiano Ronaldo, a hall-of-famer and an all-time great with a massive worldwide following. It's a very weird collaboration and we don't know what exactly they're doing with it yet (though the thing Kirishima said about it confirming the Kim twins in some way does seem plausible), but it is a pretty big one and I could see it getting a few people into the game.

It's also been a while since I've posted on this thread and I don't think I've actually watched anything relating to the game since they revealed Mai at Gamescom. Would you say the actual gameplay (not just trailer cuts) looks better at this stage of development than it did back in March or so? I really want to buy and get into the game but I still feel like I won't like the way everything moves.

I'm not too sure about the Kim skin theory. That teaser is not him kicking the big metal door like some savage beast, I'm sure it's him kicking soccer balls at the door, Shaolin Soccer style. Either it's some sort of mode like the parry training back in SF3 with Sean's basketballs, or he's a full blown character. Some people are thinking that he's playing for the Saudis who own SNK now and it's gotta be a direct demand from the Saudi prince.
But like Max Dood said, I'm in the "this is bullshit, where's Duck King"' camp.

Maybe it could be a stage perhaps? Tekken Tag 2 had a Snoop Dogg stage.

Lightning Dong boy

I wasn't sure the count would be right but I guess the next one will be Jae Hoon - I was expecting they would be both replaced by a new Tae Kwon Do student. Either more people other than Grant won't make it from MotW, or Andy and Joe are the DLC after Ken and Chun-Li and not base. Andy and Joe could be base only if Kain is DLC and Hokutomaru is skipped, but the only remaining new faces will wait for final DLC (I'm hoping Freeman is not skipped, and I'm assuming Gato makes it)

I feel that Jae Hoon would have to show up if Dong Hwan is there, despite the fact that they've only really been in one game before now I can't really see one coming back without the other. In terms of other MoTW vets, Gato already has assets available and I feel like they may be continuing the Maximum Mayhem story with Kain, so those are the two I probably feel are most guaranteed. Freeman feels a little more expendable but he does have his fans, but I have no idea how vocal they're actually going to be if he doesn't show up.

I also feel like Dong Hwan probably has the worst animations of the cast so far, particularly with his rapid kicks and that kuusa jin EX chain thing he does. Maybe I wasn't actually too far off with my initial doubts...
